VOTE YOUR VALUES

“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice…” - Proverbs 29:2
Dear Friends,
The November 3 midterm elections are fast approaching, and many votes have already been cast. At this crucial moment, we have an opportunity—and a responsibility—to do two things: pray and vote. We must unite in prayer for our nation and faithfully steward our citizenship by voting biblically.
Scripture urges us to offer “supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks” for all people, especially “for kings and all who are in authority” (1 Timothy 2:1–2).
Prayer has been a catalyst for historic revival and reformation. When we, as God’s people, humble ourselves, seek His face, and pray together in unity, we make room for God to move in our communities, cities, and nation.
This Saturday, October 31 (Reformation Day), join us along with many other pastors, leaders, and believers from across Los Angeles at the Ambassador Auditorium in Pasadena for a Solemn Assembly—a morning of praise, worship, and prayer for revival and reformation in our city and state.
And as we pray, let us also “be strong and take action” (Daniel 11:32):
Make a plan to vote on Tuesday, November 3.
Evaluate each candidate and ballot measure prayerfully and according to biblical values.
Encourage those in your church and sphere of influence to get out the vote, too!
I believe that America needs a praying church that will not retreat from our God-given mandate to “make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18–20). Let’s stand together, contend in prayer, and believe God for His Kingdom to come in the midterm elections.
In His Love,
Dr. Ché Ahn
