Why do I need to change the door Sill Height to another number (not 0) to let it align with Base Level?
Question: Hi Tien, I placed the door on Level 1. But it is higher than the Base Level: Level 1 so I need to change the door Sill Height to -100 to let the door align with Base Level. Do you know why?
Answer: If you have not defined the origin in Family, Revit will use the lowest Reference plane for the Sill Height value.
To fix this problem. Please follow these steps:
Step 1: Draw a new Reference Plane and align it with Ref. Level. After that, remember to lock it.
Step 2: Set the new Reference Plane to Defines Origin
Step 3: Load into Project and see the result. The door is 100mm lower Level 1. Now you just need to change it to 0 to align with Base Level
