How to know which elements had been linework in big drawings?

Question: Hi Tien, do you know the quickest way to know which elements had been linework without looking one by one element?

For example, how do I know which doors had been linework to other line styles or even Thin Lines in this drawing?

Answer: This sounds like an interesting question. I would suggest you change your View Discipline to Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing

Explain: Changing View Discipline to Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing will half tone all the things not related to Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing but always keep the line style of elements which had been linework.

So if you want to quickly check the linework elements which are not Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing families I believe this is the easiest way.

You can also turn off the visibility of Mechanical / Electrical / Plumbing families in Visibility/ Graphic Overrides dialog to see it clearly as the image above

Extra Note: You can check which line style the elements are linework by selecting the linework button and moving the mouse to the linework element then seeing the information in the LHS bottom line.

As the image below, the door was linework by <Thin Lines>
