This Privacy Policy explains how Retro Games - GBA Emulator (the "App") accesses, uses and shares information. QAkojak is responsible for the App. Third-party services process information as described below and in their own privacy policies.
1. GAME FILES AND LOCAL APP DATA
The App accesses game files, archives, folders and artwork that you select or authorize it to access. It uses these files to import, identify, organize and play compatible games.
The App stores library information, file references, game settings, favorites, playtime, recent sessions, save files, save-state screenshots, cached artwork and reward-unlock information on your device. Selected game files are not uploaded to QAkojak as part of normal emulation. Optional metadata lookups and cloud save sync involve the separate transmissions explained below.
Android may back up eligible app data according to your device settings and Google's backup services.
2. ONLINE CONTENT AND METADATA
The App connects to third-party services to retrieve homebrew catalogs, download game files, obtain metadata and download artwork. Those services receive your IP address and the information included in your requests, such as search terms, requested titles and download addresses.
When ScreenScraper identification is available and runs, the App calculates CRC32, MD5 and SHA-1 hashes of game files locally. It sends these hashes, the file name, file size and system identifier to ScreenScraper to identify the game. A hash is a file fingerprint; this lookup does not upload the complete ROM. Configured ScreenScraper credentials are also included when required by the service. Metadata and artwork are cached locally.

3. ADVERTISING
The App uses AppLovin MAX and includes the Meta Audience Network mediation adapter. Available advertising partners may serve banner, interstitial, native, medium-rectangle and optional rewarded ads.
Advertising services may collect device identifiers, including the Android advertising ID when available, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, device and operating-system information, language, network information, app-session information, diagnostic data and ad interactions. These data support ad delivery, personalization where permitted, measurement, service improvement and fraud prevention. Advertising partners may share information with their service providers and other advertising partners under their privacy policies.
Rewarded-ad completion is used to grant the selected in-app reward. The App also records relevant unlock information locally.
Use the App's privacy-choice controls where available and your Android advertising/privacy settings to manage applicable preferences. Changing advertising preferences may not remove advertisements or prevent all technical data processing.

4. OPTIONAL GOOGLE DRIVE SAVE SYNC
If you choose to connect a Google account for cloud save sync, the App uses Google's sign-in and authorization services. It accesses the selected account information, including the email address used to show connection status, and authorization needed to synchronize saves.
Save files and associated save-state artifacts may be uploaded to and downloaded from the App's private application-data area in your Google Drive account. The App requests access to this application-data area, rather than general access to your Drive documents. It uses this access for save backup, synchronization, restoration and conflict resolution.
You can disconnect cloud sync or revoke access through your Google account settings. Disconnecting or uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete existing cloud copies. Manage remaining application data and backups through Google Drive and your Google account.

5. SUPPORT COMMUNICATIONS
If you email QAkojak, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you voluntarily provide. We use this information to answer your request, investigate reported problems and handle privacy inquiries. Please avoid sending passwords, full game files or unnecessary sensitive information.
6. PURPOSES AND DISCLOSURES
Information is used to operate emulator and library features, retrieve online content, synchronize saves when enabled, provide advertising and rewards, troubleshoot services and respond to support requests.
Information is disclosed to the services needed for these features as described above. Support information may also be processed by our email provider. We may disclose information when necessary to meet legal obligations, respond to lawful requests or protect users and our legal rights.
7. RETENTION AND DELETION
Local app data remains until you delete it, clear the App's storage or uninstall the App, subject to Android backup behavior. Clearing storage or uninstalling may permanently remove local saves and settings. Original files in shared folders, exported files and cloud copies may remain and must be deleted separately.
Support correspondence is retained only as necessary to address your request, resolve related issues or meet legal obligations. You may request its deletion by email.
Third-party services retain information according to their own policies. Clearing app storage does not automatically erase information already held by advertising services, Google or other providers. Their privacy policies explain applicable access and deletion options.
8. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You can manage file access through Android settings, remove selected content, clear local app data, manage device backup settings, disconnect cloud sync and use available advertising privacy controls.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising-related sharing. Contact cath.a.smith@hotmail.com to exercise rights concerning information held by QAkojak. We may request information needed to verify your request and will respond as required by applicable law. For information held independently by third-party providers, use their privacy-request channels. You may also contact your local data-protection authority.
9. SECURITY AND INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING
The App uses Android's access controls and secure connections for supported online services. No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Protect your device, accounts and backups, particularly when storing game saves or signing into cloud services.
Third-party providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their policies describe their processing locations and applicable safeguards.
10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
If you believe a child has provided personal information to QAkojak through the App or support communications, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Third-party advertising and account services have their own age requirements and children's privacy provisions. Parents and guardians should review those services and supervise children's use.
11. CHANGES AND CONTACT
We may update this policy when the App or its data practices change. The effective date will be updated, and additional notice will be provided where required.
