If you want a durable, over-ear headset with built-in FM radio for long TV sessions or quiet study time, choose RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones; if you need a lightweight, ultra-portable earbud with active noise cancellation and translation features for travel or jogging, choose Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds.
• RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones: Best strength is the versatile FM radio integration and 8–10 hour continuous playback on a single charge; biggest trade-off is the lack of a microphone for calls and the bulkier over-ear form factor.
• Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds: Best strength is the adaptive active noise cancellation and AI-powered translation in over 100 languages; biggest trade-off is the smaller battery life per charge (6 hours with ANC) and the semi-in-ear design that may not fit all ears securely.
• The RETRADEKING pair is the ideal choice for an adult looking for silver head phones that double as a radio receiver for home use, while the Anker buds are better suited for someone needing the best with microphone bluetooth headset for small ears who prioritizes portability.
The RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones are designed for users who prioritize versatility and extended listening sessions without constantly hunting for a charger. These headphones stand out because they function not just as Bluetooth devices but also as standalone wireless FM radios. This dual-mode capability is rare in modern audio gear. Whether you are watching a movie, listening to the news via FM broadcast, or connecting to a PC, the device handles it all with a transmission distance of up to 15 meters via Bluetooth and even further reach for the FM signal. The inclusion of a 32Ω impedance and 40mm drivers ensures that the sound profile remains deep and immersive, delivering what feels like a full-range frequency response suitable for movies and gaming.
Comfort is another major selling point for this specific model. The manufacturer has engineered these with a lightweight design using premium materials like ABS plastic and leather earmuffs. The ergonomic structure features a multi-level adjustable headband, which means the fit can be customized to accommodate different head sizes without causing pressure points. At 300 grams, they are substantial enough to feel sturdy but light enough that you might forget you are wearing them during long periods. This makes them particularly useful for anyone who needs to wear headphones for hours while studying, working from home, or enjoying a marathon TV series.

However, this product is not for everyone. If your primary goal is making phone calls or taking voice notes, you will be disappointed because there is no built-in microphone listed in the specifications. The focus here is purely on passive listening. Additionally, the over-ear style, while comfortable, is less ideal for high-intensity activities like running. You would find yourself adjusting the headband frequently, and the size prevents them from being easily pocketed. They are best viewed as a stationary or low-movement companion. If you are looking for a headphone for jogging, these simply do not fit the bill due to their weight and lack of sweat resistance or secure in-ear locking mechanisms.
The Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds are engineered for the mobile user who demands cutting-edge technology packed into a tiny package. The standout feature here is the Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). Unlike static noise filters, these earbuds monitor your surroundings in real-time, detecting traffic, voices, and wind, then dynamically adjusting the cancellation level to suit your environment. This creates a personal bubble of silence that is essential for commuters, travelers, or anyone trying to focus in a noisy coffee shop. Paired with the 4-microphone array, the call quality is designed to be crisp, separating your voice from background noise so conversations sound as clear as a face-to-face chat.
Portability is where these buds truly shine. Weighing only 54.12 grams including the case, they are incredibly easy to carry anywhere. The semi-in-ear design with removable ear fins offers a unique approach to fit. Instead of forcing the bud deep into the canal, it rests more comfortably, offering breathability for all-day wear. With four different fin sizes included, you can experiment to find a configuration that works for your specific ear shape, ensuring they stay put even during movement. For someone asking about the best with microphone bluetooth headset for small ears, the customizable fins provide a solution that many traditional in-ears miss. The battery life supports this mobility well, offering up to 7 hours on a single charge and a massive 30 hours total with the charging case, ensuring you never run out of power during a long day.
Despite these strengths, there are limitations to consider. The battery life drops to 6 hours when the ANC is turned on, which is still respectable but requires more frequent recharging than the over-ear option if you rely heavily on noise cancellation. Furthermore, the semi-in-ear design, while breathable, does not offer the same physical isolation as a sealed over-ear cup. In very loud environments, some bass leakage or ambient noise might still get through despite the digital processing. Also, while they support spatial audio for a balanced sound profile across pop, classical, and electronic genres, the 14Ω impedance suggests a different tuning compared to the heavier, bass-focused RETRADEKING model. They are excellent for casual listening and calls, but if you need a dedicated radio receiver, this device lacks that hardware entirely.

After weighing the specifications and use cases, I would buy the Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds for my daily routine, especially if I am planning to use them for a kid who needs something secure and safe for outdoor activities. The ability to switch between music, calls, and translation tools makes them a versatile tool for modern life. However, if I were buying specifically for a child to use for homework or watching TV at home, I would strongly recommend the RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones. The built-in FM radio is a fantastic educational tool, and the 8-hour battery life means they won't die mid-task. Ultimately, for a kid who needs a reliable, fun, and safe audio experience that doesn't require constant charging or complex pairing, the RETRADEKING model is the superior choice.
The Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds come with four removable ear fin sizes, making them highly adaptable for small ears and ensuring a secure fit during movement. The RETRADEKING model is over-ear and generally better suited for adults or older children with larger heads.
The RETRADEKING headphones offer 8–10 hours of continuous playback on a single charge, while the Anker buds provide 7 hours (or 6 with ANC) plus 30 hours total with the case. Both are sufficient for a full day, but the over-ear option lasts longer per single charge.
No, the Anker Soundcore Liberty Buds do not have a built-in FM radio tuner. Only the RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones include a dedicated FM receiver for listening to local broadcasts without a smartphone connection.
The RETRADEKING headphones feature 40mm drivers and 32Ω impedance, which typically delivers deeper, more powerful bass suitable for movies and music. The Anker buds use Balanced Armature Drivers tuned for clarity and spatial audio, offering a balanced profile rather than heavy bass emphasis.
