If you want deep bass, long battery life, and a classic over-ear design for TV watching or home use, choose RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones; if you need to stay aware of your surroundings while jogging or working out with a lightweight open-ear fit, choose Ttbesmi Purple Out.
• RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones: Offers powerful 40mm drivers and an impressive 8–10 hour battery life, but the bulkier over-ear design is not ideal for high-intensity running.
• Ttbesmi Purple Out: Features a featherlight 0.3oz open-ear build with IPX5 waterproofing for sweat resistance, yet it only provides 4 hours of playtime and lacks in-ear isolation.
• The Verdict on Fit: The RETRADEKING is built for stationary listening at home or travel, while the Ttbesmi is engineered specifically for active users who prioritize safety and comfort during movement.
This headset is designed for the person who wants a dedicated audio experience that doesn't rely on their phone's internal speakers. The RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones deliver a traditional, immersive sound profile using 40mm drivers with a frequency range spanning from 88 MHz to 108 MHz. This setup allows for HiFi stereo playback that emphasizes deep bass and powerful lows, making it an excellent choice for watching movies, following TV series, or diving into video games where audio immersion matters. The inclusion of a built-in FM radio function adds a layer of versatility, letting you tune into local stations without needing a data connection or streaming service.
For those who spend hours in front of a screen, the comfort factor here is significant. The headphones feature a retractable, ergonomic design with soft earmuffs made from premium materials like ABS and leather. This construction aims to reduce pressure on the ears during extended sessions, creating a "stress-free" wearing experience. The headband is multi-level adjustable, ensuring a secure fit for various head sizes without causing the fatigue often associated with heavier headsets. With a weight of 300 grams, they are substantial enough to feel durable and premium, yet balanced enough for all-day wear in a home office or living room setting.
Battery endurance is another area where this model shines for its intended use case. A single charge delivers between 8 to 10 hours of continuous playback, which is more than sufficient for a full workday or a long flight. The charging time is relatively quick at just one hour, minimizing downtime. Connectivity is robust thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 technology, offering a stable transmission distance of up to 15 meters. While the primary focus is wireless freedom, the unit also includes a USB transmitter and supports 3.5mm audio outputs, ensuring compatibility with older televisions or computers that lack native Bluetooth capabilities. This makes it a versatile tool for audiophiles who prefer a wired fallback or for families sharing a TV setup.

However, this product is not for everyone. If you are looking for a touch control headphone for laptop use where you need absolute silence and no ambient noise leakage, the over-ear design might trap heat. Furthermore, the lack of a microphone means you cannot take calls directly through these headphones, so they are strictly for media consumption. They are also too bulky for activities requiring head movement, such as running or cycling, where a secure, low-profile fit is necessary.
The Ttbesmi Purple Out serves a completely different demographic: the active individual who refuses to sacrifice situational awareness for music. These are open-ear earbuds that hang over the ear rather than sealing inside the canal. This design philosophy prioritizes safety above all else. By leaving the ear canal open, you can hear traffic, cyclists, or people talking around you while still enjoying your playlist. This makes them the ideal companion for outdoor sports like jogging, hiking, or gym workouts where staying alert is critical. The open-ear structure ensures that you never feel isolated from your environment, a feature that many traditional in-ear buds fail to provide.
Comfort is the second pillar of this product's appeal. Weighing in at a mere 0.3 ounces (approximately 18 grams), these headphones are virtually unnoticeable once worn. The material used is skin-friendly, non-allergic ABS plastic, which feels smooth against the skin even after prolonged periods. Unlike heavy over-ear models, there is no clamping force or heat buildup inside the ear cup. The design utilizes air-bone conduction technology to transmit sound directionally, delivering what the manufacturer describes as a 360-degree panoramic stereo experience. This approach allows for a sense of spaciousness in the audio without blocking out the world, making it perfect for runners who need to listen to their music while monitoring their pace and surroundings.
Durability and connectivity are also tailored for the active lifestyle. The headphones boast an IPX5 waterproof rating, protected by a nano-coating that resists sweat and rain. Whether you are pushing through a hot workout or caught in a sudden shower, the electronics remain safe. The Bluetooth 5.3 chip ensures a fast and stable connection within a 10-meter range, which is standard for wireless audio but reliable enough for most athletic scenarios. Additionally, the dual-microphone system with ENC algorithm enhances call clarity, allowing you to handle phone calls even in noisy environments without disturbing others nearby. The color purple adds a stylish, youthful aesthetic that stands out during outdoor activities.
Despite these strengths, the trade-offs are clear. The battery life is significantly shorter than the over-ear alternative, offering only about 4 hours of playtime at 50% volume. This requires frequent recharging, which might be inconvenient for long-distance travelers or those who forget to charge their gear overnight. The sound quality, while enhanced by digital processing, will naturally lack the deep bass and physical isolation of closed-back headphones because the design does not seal the ear. If you are a listener who craves silence or needs to block out a noisy office to focus, these open-ear buds will let too much outside noise in. They are not suitable for audiophiles seeking pure, isolated sound fidelity.

In my opinion, if I were buying a pair of headphones for general daily use at home, I would choose the RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones. The combination of long battery life, rich bass response, and the ability to connect directly to non-Bluetooth devices makes it a superior all-around device for relaxation and entertainment. However, if I were specifically looking for for kids bluetooth options or personal gear for outdoor exercise, the Ttbesmi Purple Out is the safer, more practical choice due to its open-ear design that keeps young ears safe and comfortable during activity. Ultimately, the decision comes down to whether you need to block out the world or stay connected to it.
The Ttbesmi Purple Out is specifically designed for running with its open-ear design and IPX5 waterproof rating, whereas the RETRADEKING model is better suited for stationary listening and may be too heavy for intense cardio.
Neither model offers true active noise cancellation that blocks external sounds; the RETRADEKING uses passive isolation via ear cups, while the Ttbesmi relies on an open-ear design that lets ambient noise in for safety.
The RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones provide 8 to 10 hours of playback, while the Ttbesmi Purple Out offers approximately 4 hours of playtime before needing a recharge.
The Ttbesmi Purple Out features dual microphones with noise reduction for clear calls, whereas the RETRADEKING Over-Ear FM Headphones do not include a microphone and are intended for media consumption only.
