Sept 28 - Oct 4

  • Watch prerecorded videos on each of the proposed projects

  • Introduce yourself to other participants

  • Chat with project leaders: ask your questions on their project, if any, or just get to know them before the event!

Monday Oct 5

You will be assigned to 3 to 5 30-minute meetings with a group leader and workshop participants. See who you get along with and who gets you excited to work together. Fill out the first-day survey by 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific.

Tuesday Oct 6

Meet your new team!! If possible, plan to be free at 3pm Eastern/noon Pacific to meet your team and set up your work schedule for the next two weeks.

We hope that everyone can commit to an average of 3 hours of teamwork per day, but if fewer longer days work better, we encourage each team to find a work schedule that accommodates its participants.

Liberate number theory

An important part of this workshop is to give us time and space to rethink our community. How can number theory be a place of liberation and joy for all?

  • Thursday Oct 8, 3pm Eastern/noon Pacific: Liberate conferences

  • Tuesday Oct 13, 3pm Eastern/noon Pacific: Liberate the hiring process

  • Thursday Oct 15, 3pm Eastern/noon Pacific: Liberate grant applications

All-hands meeting

On weekdays when we do not have a Liberate session, we will meet at 3pm Eastern/noon Pacific for an all-hands meeting (October 7, 9, 14 and 16; no meeting on Indigenous People's Day). During that time we will catch each other up on the work we are doing via short presentations.
