I am from the industrial town of Durgapur, West Bengal. I completed my 12th standard (AISSCE) from D.A.V. Model School, Durgapur (W.B). I did my B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur and currently pursuing my Ph.D. in Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (2018 onwards).
I enjoy problem solving, believe in second chances and the fact that eventually, everything will fall in its proper place. Am also an adept fiction lover / reader and a computer tech geek.
"Fracture Surface Topology via Phase Field Modeling (PFM)"
with Prof. (Dr.) P. Venkitanarayanan and Prof. (Dr.) Sumit Basu, IIT Kanpur
Most experimental brittle fracture surfaces report persistent fracture profiles with high roughness/scaling exponents, whereas brittle linear elastic fracture surfaces report low roughness/scaling exponents. This scaling exponent is deemed universal. My work revolves around verification of this universality through computation, analytics and experimentation.
