About REStud Europe Tour

The REStud Europe Tour  recognizes the most promising doctoral students in economics and finance graduating from outside of Europe, and introduces them and their research to academic communities in Europe. Each year, 6-7 students are selected by a designated committee in line with the REStud’s tradition of encouraging the work of young economists. The tour consists of 3 conference-style meetings at economics departments or research centers across Europe, and draws audiences from local universities, government institutions, think tanks, and the journal’s editorial board.

The REStud Europe Tour has been held annually in May since 1989, and was formerly known as REStud May Meetings or REStud Tour. Until 2020, it featured top students graduating from either European or North American universities. Since 2021, it has been the counterpart to the REStud North America Tour, which introduces top students graduating from European universities to North American audiences.

Tourists
