Furnace Installation – Post FER/Multi 18-Speed Constant Torque (MCT) deals with the requirements and proper installation of gas furnaces, as well as gas furnace components and operation. We will discuss complete and incomplete combustion and the byproducts of each, combustion air and flue ventilation. We will take an in-depth look airflow, heat rise and proper installation of evaporator coils, as well as dry and wet/dry coil pressure drops and how they affect airflow. This course covers pre- and post- FER gas furnace sizing and sequences of operation.
In this class we will also go over the current updates in preparation for the 2025 transition to R454 outdoor units and coils to be installed with furnaces.

The training session will be conducted using the ZOOM MEETING application. Zoom is a free download.
All students should join the session using any PC, Laptop computer, Tablet or Smart phone with sustainable internet access. The application allows for interaction between the trainer and the participants.
QR codes will be used during the course for “Sign in”, “CHECK MY LEARNING” activities and “Testing”.
Students must have a working QR reader application on their smart phone or other smart device in order to complete the tasks. There are a number of QR Code reader apps available for FREE download.
