Breve - (Luis Ricardo, 2024)
Breve, el primer texto de poesía en prosa de Luis Ricardo, nace de un ejercicio de escritura creativa que se despliega en dos tiempos simultáneos: la palabra visible y la palabra tachada. En este juego de capas, la tachadura no es un gesto de borrado, sino una invitación a una doble lectura. El lector es guiado a través de un recorrido donde el orden y el significado de las palabras se desdoblan, revelando nuevas interpretaciones en cada momento del texto.
La tachadura se convierte en una herramienta que articula y transforma el sentido, permitiendo que el lector descubra ese segundo momento oculto que solo emerge al contemplar lo borrado. Este recurso le permite a Luis Ricardo explorar la tensión entre presencia y ausencia, significado y silencio, abriendo una experiencia de lectura que es, a la vez, íntima y expansiva.
Durante la residencia editorial de PotentA____ que da forma física a Breve, se exploran diversas materialidades del papel, buscando reflejar el juego sensorial del poemario. Cada textura y cada decisión de diseño fue pensada para resonar con la experiencia táctil y visual del lector. Así, la obra no solo se lee con los ojos, sino que también se siente con las manos, haciendo de Breve un poema que habita también otros sentidos en su lectura.

Luis Ricardo, es arquitecto de formación, vive y trabaja actualmente en Ensenada, Baja California, Norte, México. En su práctica escritural, examina las posibilidades visuales y espaciales de la lectura y la escritura como formas de habitar el espacio y el lenguaje. En su práctica, busca preguntarse sobre los límites entre lo textual y lo espacial, explorando cómo la lectura y la escritura pueden convertirse en una experiencia espacial, donde las palabras se convierten en estructuras habitables, y el espacio en una forma de lenguaje para su lectura.

During the editorial residency at PotentA____, which gave *Breve* its physical form, various paper materialities were explored, seeking to reflect the sensory interplay of the poem. Every texture and design decision was intended to resonate with the reader's tactile and visual experience. Thus, the work is not only read with the eyes, but also felt with the hands, making *Breve* a poem that inhabits other senses in its reading.

Luis Ricardo, an architect by training, currently lives and works in Ensenada Baja California Norte, Mexico. In his writing practice, he examines the visual and spatial possibilities of reading and writing as ways of inhabiting both space and language. His work seeks to explore the boundaries between the textual and the spatial, investigating how reading and writing can become spatial experiences, where words become inhabitable structures, and space becomes a form of language to be read.
