The 1st International Workshop on Reservoir Computing (RC 2019)

Workshop of the 28th International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks (ICANN 2019)

https://e-nns.org/icann2019/

Reservoir Computing (RC) is a leading edge paradigm for the design of efficiently trainable Recurrent Neural Network models. The first International Workshop on Reservoir Computing will bring together researchers to discuss the state-of-the-art and open challenges for the field of RC, in all its declinations. These include, but are not limited to, new models of Echo State Networks and Liquid State Machines, non-conventional hardware implementations, new emerging paradigms (e.g., conceptors), extensions of RC to complex streams of data, hybrids of deep and shallow models, modeling of neuronal dynamics, and many more. The workshop provides an open forum for researchers to meet and present recent contributions and ideas in a highly interdisciplinary environment.

See the topics of interest for the RC 2019 workshop in the call for papers.

Info on papers submission and on the workshop program will be available soon.

Special Issue

Authors of accepted papers are invited to submit a contribution to the Special Issue "Trends in Reservoir Computing" on the journal Cognitive Computation (Springer, IF 4.287).

This special issue will contain selected extended papers from the submissions of the workshop, and we also welcome additional contributions that were not featured inside the workshop.

The call for papers is available here.

Deadline for papers submission has been extended to 29 February 2020.

Workshop Proceedings

Papers accepted for the RC 2019 workshop are published within the ICANN 2019 proceedings in a Lecture Notes in Computer Science volume (Springer)

"Artificial Neural Networks and Machine Learning – ICANN 2019: Workshop and Special Sessions", Editors: Igor V. Tetko, Věra Kůrková, Pavel Karpov, Fabian Theis.
