Repvolve is made by Garoono. This page explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. If anything here is unclear, write to us at SUPPORT_EMAIL.
The camera counts your reps on your phone. Video and photos are never recorded, saved or uploaded.
You can count reps, keep a history and grow your athlete without an account.
An account is needed only for leaderboards, leagues, duels and friends, because those involve other people.
We do not sell your data.
You can delete your account and its data from inside the app.
Repvolve uses the camera to count push-ups, squats, sit-ups, plank time and jumping jacks. Frames are analysed on the device by Google ML Kit pose detection, which estimates the position of your joints. The frames and the pose data stay on the phone. Nothing from the camera is stored on the device after a set, and nothing from the camera is sent to us or to anyone else.
Without an account
Your workouts: exercise type, rep counts, plank seconds, timestamps, points, streaks and personal records. These are stored on your phone.
Your athlete choice and your first name, if you enter one during setup. Your first name stays on your phone.
App and device information: app version, device model, operating system version, language and country.
Usage events, for example screens opened, sets finished, paywall shown.
With an account
Your email address, and the name your sign-in provider gives us when you use Google or Sign in with Apple.
A display name and handle that you choose. These are visible to other players on leaderboards, in leagues and in duels.
Your country, so country leaderboards work.
Your workout totals and verified set results, which are needed for leaderboards, leagues, duels and friends.
A notification token, if you allow notifications.
Purchases
Whether you have an active Repvolve Pro subscription, and which plan. Payment itself happens in the App Store or Google Play. We never see your card details.
Ads (free tier only)
When ads are on, Google AdMob may use an advertising identifier and information about your device to serve and measure ads. Repvolve Pro removes ads.
To count reps and show your history, progress and athlete stages.
To run leaderboards, weekly leagues, duels and friends, and to check that submitted sets are plausible so ranks are fair.
To keep your progress across phones once you sign in.
To provide and restore your subscription.
To fix crashes and understand which features are used, so the app gets better.
To show ads on the free tier, and to keep them relevant where you have agreed to that.
Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, cloud messaging, analytics, remote configuration, crash reporting). Your account and Compete data are stored in Google's data centres in India (asia-south1).
RevenueCat for subscription status.
PostHog for product analytics.
Google AdMob for ads, when ads are enabled.
Apple and Google Play for payments.
These companies act on our behalf or as independent controllers for their own service, under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with data brokers.
Analytics: turn "Share usage analytics" off in Settings.
Notifications: allow or refuse them when asked, or change it later in your phone's settings.
Leaderboard visibility: turn off "Show me on leaderboards" in Settings to stay out of public rankings.
Ads: in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you are asked for consent before personalised ads, and you can change your answer in Settings under "Ad privacy choices". On iOS, ads are only personalised if you allow tracking when the system asks. Repvolve Pro removes ads entirely.
Delete your account: Settings, then Delete account. This removes your profile, your synced sets, your leaderboard entries, your duels and your friend list. Sets stored only on your phone are removed by "Erase history on this phone", or by deleting the app.
Workout and account data stay until you delete your account. Anonymous usage analytics are kept for up to 14 months. Purchase records are kept as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to certain processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Write to SUPPORT_EMAIL and we will answer within 30 days. Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for analytics and personalised ads, on the performance of our agreement with you for the app itself and for subscriptions, and on our legitimate interest in keeping leaderboards fair and the app secure.
Repvolve is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, write to SUPPORT_EMAIL and we will remove it.
Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS. Access to our systems is limited to people who need it. No service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update this page and the date at the top, and where the change is significant we will say so in the app.
