This Privacy Policy explains how the developer of "AI Rent Lease Letter Writer" ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data and information when you use our mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with all applicable data protection laws, including Apple's App Store Review Guidelines regarding data collection and third-party Artificial Intelligence (AI) services.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT AND HOW WE COLLECT IT
We minimize the collection of personal data. The App primarily collects data that you explicitly provide to us when generating documents:
a) User-Provided Input Data: When you use the App to create a lease agreement, rent notice, or other legal drafts, you may input text, scenarios, conditions, and basic facts ("Input Data") into the designated text fields.
b) Usage Data: We may automatically collect non-identifiable usage statistics, such as app crash reports, feature usage rates, and general device information (e.g., OS version, device model) to improve app performance.
2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use your information exclusively for the following purposes:
- To generate the legal document drafts, lease agreements, and responses you request.
- To maintain, improve, and troubleshoot the App's functionality.
- To process in-app purchases and subscriptions.
3. SHARING DATA WITH THIRD-PARTY AI SERVICES (IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE)
To provide the core functionality of generating high-quality legal drafts, the App relies on a third-party Artificial Intelligence service.
- Who the data is sent to: Your Input Data is sent securely to OpenAI, L.L.C. ("OpenAI") via their API.
- What data is sent: Only the specific text prompts, document parameters, and factual details you manually enter into the drafting fields are transmitted to OpenAI.
- Purpose of sharing: This data is shared solely for the purpose of analyzing your request and generating the requested document draft in real-time.
- Equal Protection Guarantee: OpenAI provides the same or equal protection of your data as outlined in this Privacy Policy. Pursuant to OpenAI's API data usage policies, the data transmitted through their API is NOT used to train their underlying base AI models. Your data is processed securely and is discarded by the AI provider after the generation is complete.
4. USER PERMISSION BEFORE SENDING DATA
Before any of your Input Data is ever transmitted to OpenAI, the App explicitly displays an "AI Data Notice" prompt on your screen. The App will only transmit your data to the AI service if you explicitly tap the "Agree & Continue" button. If you decline, your data will not be sent, and the document will not be generated.
5. SENSITIVE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We strongly advise users NOT to input highly sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) into the App (such as social security numbers, banking information, or extremely sensitive confidential data). The App is designed to generate structural drafts; you can always insert highly sensitive details manually after the draft is generated and exported.
6. DATA RETENTION AND ON-DEVICE STORAGE
Your generated drafts and document history are stored locally on your own device using local storage. We do not maintain a central database of your generated documents or personal files on our servers. If you delete the App, your saved drafts will be permanently deleted from your device.
7. IN-APP PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS
Payment transactions are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card information, billing address, or specific financial data.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 17. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child, we will take immediate steps to delete such information.
9. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when the latest revisions were made.
