RentGuard — Privacy Policy

RentGuard ("we," "our," or "us") operates the RentGuard mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect and store the following personal information when you create an account:

First name and last name

Email address

This information is required to create and manage your account.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

Create and manage your account

Authenticate your identity

Provide the App's core functionality

Process in-app purchases and subscriptions

3. DATA STORAGE & SECURITY

Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase

All data is transmitted using SSL/TLS encryption

Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable format

Your data is isolated to your account — no other user can access it

4. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Google Firebase Authentication & database

Apple StoreKit In-app purchases

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.

5. IN-APP PURCHASES

Payment is processed by Apple through the App Store

We do not collect or store your payment card details

Subscription management is handled through your Apple ID settings

6. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS

With your permission, we send local notifications for lease and payment reminders. You can disable these in your device's Settings at any time.

7. DATA DELETION

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your data (name, email, and all app data) is permanently removed from our servers. This action is irreversible.

8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

RentGuard is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. YOUR RIGHTS

You have the right to:

Access your personal data

Correct inaccurate information

Delete your account and all associated data

Opt out of push notifications

10. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
