Ren is an assistant professor of Quantitative Psychology at the University of California, Merced.
His research has focused on statistical and measurement methods as applied in psychology, education and social sciences at large. His methodological work is centered on diagnostic measurement, a new psychometric framework that aims to classify individuals with a group of latent traits.
In addition to methodological research, he collaborates with researchers from different disciplines through conducting statistical analysis to answer critical questions.
Outside of research, Ren is interested in lifting weights and lifting his puppy.
