Rendell L.Brewster is Based in Miami, he has held senior managerial positions overseeing the companies’ operations in the Caribbean and Latin America. He also held the position of Chairman of Government and Public Affairs where he interacted at senior regional government levels and developed strategic relationships in Washington with national and international corporate and political leaders and the State Dept.
Subsequent to corporate life, he has been engaged in consulting assignments dealing with finance, fossil-based and renewable energy and related economic development issues mainly in the Caribbean and Latin America. These consulting assignments usually involve assisting corporate clients with accessing capital for expansion and development needs from the regional and international financial markets. Rendell also served as partner of RLB Financial Services, Inc., a CPA firm Miami, which provided accounting and taxation services to domestic US clients and consultancy services on domestic US tax and regulatory compliance issues to foreign clients.
During the 2008 real estate crisis, he entered the residential real estate market in South Florida where he remains fairly active providing off-campus housing facilities primarily UM graduate students. He currently serves on the Board of two condominium associations in South Florida.
He is active in community service serving on various Not-For-Profit boards and has a passion for financial literacy which he teaches at churches and in the community.
He is a former director of the South Chapter of the FICPA, a former mentor for the MBA Program at the University of Miami and the College Admission Committee for the University of Pennsylvania, incl. the Wharton School.
His graduate education includes an MBA from The Wharton School, where he double majored in Finance and Management. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the USA, a Chartered Tax advisor in the UK, a Fellow of Institute of Certified Corporate Accountants in England, and a Chartered Accountant of Trinidad & Tobago. He holds professional memberships in the AICPA and FICPA in the United States.
In additional to English, Mr. Brewster is fluent in Spanish.
