RenameForge is developed and published by Deleted User Games.
RenameForge is designed as an offline-first file and folder renaming utility. We aim to collect as little user information as possible.
RenameForge does not collect, store, sell, or share personal information with Deleted User Games.
The app does not require:
A user account
Registration
Login details
Your name or address
Advertising identifiers
Location tracking
Analytics or behavioural tracking
RenameForge does not contain advertising or third-party advertising SDKs.
RenameForge requires access to files and folders selected by the user in order to provide its file-renaming and organisation features.
On Android, RenameForge uses the system Storage Access Framework where possible. This allows you to choose which folders or files the app may access.
RenameForge may access information such as:
File names
File extensions
Folder names
File modification dates
File locations selected by the user
Image metadata required for selected rename rules
This information is used solely to perform the actions requested within the app.
RenameForge does not upload your files, filenames, folders, or file contents to Deleted User Games servers.
RenameForge includes optional photo metadata features.
When these features are used, the app may read locally stored metadata from supported image files, including:
Date and time a photo was taken
Camera manufacturer
Camera model
Lens model
Image dimensions
This information is processed locally on your device and is used only to generate filenames requested by you.
Photo metadata is not transmitted to Deleted User Games.
Some photographs may contain GPS or location information within their metadata.
RenameForge does not use photo GPS information for its rename features and does not transmit photo location information to Deleted User Games.
When you choose to rename, move, or organise files and folders, RenameForge performs those operations directly through your device's storage system.
The app may temporarily retain information about rename operations in order to provide features such as:
Rename history
Undo
Rollback after a failed operation
This information remains locally on your device.
RenameForge stores some application data locally, which may include:
App settings
Saved rename presets
Rule order preferences
Rename history
First-run/onboarding status
This information is stored on your device and is not sent to Deleted User Games.
Removing the app may remove this locally stored application data, depending on your device and Android settings.
The core features of RenameForge are designed to work without an internet connection.
RenameForge does not operate a developer-controlled server for processing your files.
Some functionality provided by Android, Google Play, or your chosen storage provider may involve their own services and privacy practices independently of RenameForge.
For example, if you select files stored through a third-party cloud storage provider, that provider may process data according to its own privacy policy.
Deleted User Games does not sell, rent, trade, or share RenameForge user data with advertisers or data brokers.
Because RenameForge does not collect user data on our servers, we do not maintain a database containing your files, filenames, photos, or rename activity.
RenameForge is a general-purpose file utility and is not specifically directed towards children.
RenameForge does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
RenameForge is designed to minimise privacy risk by processing files locally and avoiding unnecessary data collection.
Access to files and folders is controlled through Android's storage permission and document access systems.
Users should always review RenameForge's preview before performing large batch operations and should maintain appropriate backups of important files.
