This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which kksmartapps (referred to as "Developer," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the Remote for Hisense AC mobile application ("the App").

1. Personal Data Collection and Use

Core Functionality

The App’s primary purpose is to function as an infrared (IR) remote. The core features of the App do not collect, transmit, or store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as names, phone numbers, or precise geographic location. All IR signal generation occurs locally on your device.

User-Submitted Feedback

When users voluntarily choose to submit feedback through the App, we may collect:

• Feedback text provided by the user

• An optional email address, only if the user chooses to provide it

This information is used solely for:

• Understanding issues and improving the App

• Responding to user inquiries or feedback when requested

Providing an email address is entirely optional and is not required to use the App or submit feedback. We do not use feedback data for marketing purposes and do not sell or rent this information.

2. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services that may collect, use, and share data for advertising, analytics, and stability purposes. Your use of the App constitutes your acceptance of the collection and use of information in relation to these policies.

A. Google AdMob (Advertising)

The App uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob is a third-party service provided by Google that may collect and process certain data to provide personalized and non-personalized advertising.

• Data Collected by AdMob: This may include, but is not limited to: IP address, device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), device type, operating system information, and user interaction data with the ads (e.g., clicks and impressions).

• Purpose: This data is used to analyze ad effectiveness, prevent fraud, and serve ads relevant to the user's interests.

• Third-Party Disclosure: Data is shared with Google and its advertising partners as part of the AdMob service.

• Opt-Out: Users can generally opt out of personalized advertising by visiting their Google Ad Settings or through their device’s settings (e.g., by resetting the Advertising ID).

B. Firebase Crashlytics (App Stability)

The App uses Google Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and stability monitoring.

• Data Collected by Crashlytics: This service automatically collects non-personal data, such as device state information, unique device identifiers, and crash traces (stack traces) when the App encounters an error.

• Purpose: This data is used solely to help the Developer diagnose and fix bugs, ensuring the App functions reliably. This data is not used for advertising.

C. Google Firebase Analytics (App Usage Analysis)

The App uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage, user behavior, and to provide data required for certain AdMob features.

• Data Collected by Analytics: This service automatically collects non-personally identifiable information, which includes:

• • Device or other IDs: The App-Instance ID and, when available, the Android Advertising ID are collected to distinguish unique users and sessions.

• • User Activity/App Interactions: Information about how the user interacts with the app (e.g., button clicks, screen views, session duration, app launch, and operating system) is collected.

• • Technical Data: Basic device information (model, OS version), time zone, and geographic location (at a general city/region level, inferred from IP address) are collected.

• Purpose: This data is used solely for the Developer's analytics, to measure app performance, understand user trends, and improve the App's features and stability.

D. Google Forms (User Feedback Processing)

User feedback submitted through the App is processed using Google Forms, a service provided by Google.

Data Processed:

• Feedback text

• Optional email address (if provided)

This data is used solely for feedback review and response purposes.

3. Permissions Used Locally

The App requires minimal permissions, which are used exclusively on your device for the core features.

4. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email below, and we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.

5. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update or change our Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date at the top. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.

6. User Data Deletion Policy

1. Users of the App may request deletion of feedback or other personally identifiable information voluntarily submitted through the in-app feedback form.

2. The App does not require user accounts and does not directly collect personally identifiable information unless voluntarily entered by the user in the feedback text fields.

3. The App may use third-party services such as Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics, which may automatically collect anonymous or aggregated diagnostic and usage information. This data is managed by the respective third-party providers and may not be individually identifiable or removable by the App developer.

4. To submit a data deletion request related to feedback submitted through the App, please send an email to the contact address listed below with the subject line "Data Deletion Request - Remote for Hisense AC".

5. If identifiable feedback submitted by the user can be located, reasonable efforts will be made to delete it. Users may also clear app data or uninstall the App from their device to reset locally stored app identifiers and preferences.
