I had the same problem and it seems that a windows update package broke the RDP client.I found out that the file mstsc.exein the folder system32 had been modified lately, and after some research that Windows updates had been installed on the very same day. So I tried uninstalling all updates performed on this day using Programs and Featuresin the control panel (in my case, KB2857650 and KB2830477). After restarting my computer, I could again use the remote desktop client normally.

In the last section, we discussed two tried-and-true solutions for resolving the mstscax.dll remote desktop error. Another option is to utilize the quick and stable remote desktop software AnyViewer, which allows you to access your work computer in the office from home without any further configuration. If you are looking for a Remote Desktop alternative, try AnyViewer.

I've got a C# application that I've been using for years to script remote desktop connections. It's always been built on the AxMsRdpClient3 (note the 3, which I guess is some kind of version number). There are features in AxMsRdpClient8 (version 8) that I want to be able to use, but as I understand it, this requires Remote Desktop version 8 to be installed. Not all users have that installed (or even can install it on Windows XP/Vista), though.

This issue occurs because an access violation exception occurs in the application that provides virtualized sessions when uninitialized variables are accessed. The uninitialized variables occur because the Desktop Windows Manager (DWM) is disabled on the remote desktop server when an application on the server opens a virtual channel to the DWM proxy on the client.

Note The Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) enables virtual channels between a server and a client to transfer specific information. The clipboard, the remote audio, and the DWM all use this mechanism to relay information on the server to their proxies that are located on the client.

The project will implement drop-in, open source replacements for the Remote Desktop Connection application (mstsc.exe) and the Remote Desktop ActiveX Control (mstscax.dll). The look, feel, API and features will be reproduced faithfully, within the limits of the current state of the art in open source RDP clients (represented by rdesktop for the UNIX/X11 platform and ProperJavaRDP for the Java platform).

Java Verify failure unable to Configure Java Control Panel does not open ( Fix : ) this is a regular ( windows 7 bug related ) problem after successful installation of Java ( jre ) and fresh installation of Windows7 64bit or 32bit on my laptop or desktop. what worked perfectly for me was setting COMPATIBILITYMODE=WINDOWSNT to make windows launch the JP2LAUNCHER.EXE and JAVAW.EXE files properly.jp2launcher.exe windowsNT compatibility solves Java Verify failure problem at

javaw.exe windowsNT compatibility solves unable to open or Configure Java Control Panel problem.

Using an Access Policy Manager (APM) RDP type remote desktop, clients can access a server that runs Microsoft Remote Desktop Services. Microsoft Remote Desktop servers run the Microsoft Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) server. RDP is a protocol that provides a graphical interface to another computer on a network.

When you create a remote desktop resource, Access Policy Manager (APM) automatically creates an allow ACL for the IP addresses and ports specified in the resource. To disallow access to any other IP addresses and ports, you must create ACLs that deny access to them and assign the ACLs in the per-session policy. F5 recommends that you create an ACL that rejects access to all connections and put it last in the ACL order.

Another integral part of remote infrastructure management services is data sharing and retrieving file server and requires a well-built server management which also comes in remote desktop as a service.

I am using RDCB01 to do the deployment, having added all the other servers to server manager. In the deployment wizard, adding the first RDCB server (RDCB01) complains that i cannot use psremoting to connect to the RDCB server RDCB01 from the server i deploy from (RDCB01). I then cancel and deploy from RDCB02, the server i will use to later cluster RDCB. It completes without error, but when i go back to RDCB01 and open server manager, go to remote desktop, i get the error "a remote desktop services deployment does not exist in the pool". I check by trying the deployment wizard again from RDCB01, and it does infact find a deployment, then gives me a new error stating "Could not retrieve the deployment information from the RDCB server"

I have VDI environment (windows server 2012R2) with virtual machine based sessions. Some of users have a disconnected session, when they try to connect to their virtual desktops they receive a message "Your remote session has ended ...."

1. Open command propmt

2.write gpedit.msc and open it

3.Go to computer configuration -> Administrative Tempalates -> Wondows Components

->Remote Desktop services -> Remote Desktop Session Host -> Connections.

4. Here Disble the below mentioned.

Restrict Remote Desktop Services user to a single remote.....

NOw goto command propmt and update the group ploicy using below mentioned command.

Goto command propmt and type -> gpupdate and enter it. it should be successfully applied.

"Because of a security error, the client could not connect to the remote computer.

Very that you are logged on the network, and then try connecting again."

I tried different settings by KB2477176 and activate/deactivate server, but it didn't solve the problem.

I installed Remote desktop services role installed with RDCB, RDSH, RDWA, RDL and it asked for server reboot. As soon as server gets rebooted and up, we were not able to take any single session of this 2012 server where we installed all the above said roles. It said license server was not available. I took the console of this 2012 server through ILO and uninstalled the only Remote desktop license server role and after that i was able to take the session of this 2012 server and also simultaneously 4 to 5 sessions are now coming.

When the activex is activated in windows 2008 and windows 2008 R2 some of the printers aren't being redirected and I see an error in the event log that the the printer driver is missing. I entered to the server and turn on the easy printers feature but is still doesn't work.

I'm having a strange issue on all of my Windows clients. The desktops (RemoteApps work just fine) that are published in Web Access don't download in either the Remote Desktop App (Windows Store) or in the Remote Apps and Desktops on the control panel in Win 7/8. The same resources will download on Android and IOS clients however. The follow is in the RemoteApp and Desktop Connections Admin log in event viewer (Event ID 1018):

Remote Desktop Services is one of Microsoft Windows components to access a remote computer through the network. Only the user interface of the application is presented at the client. Any input is redirected over to the remote computer over the network.

At work, we use Remote Desktop a great deal. It allows us to login to a remote server to perform health checks, deploy applications, troubleshoot problems, etc. We also use remote desktop often when we do WFH (work from home).

Why do you want to write a .NET application to do this when you have the MS Terminal Services client available from OS? Well, consider if you want to work on 3 different application servers at the same time and want to toggle between these 3 servers quite often. With the MSTSC, we will be running 3 different clients for the 3 servers and it is difficult to manage the working environment. In .NET, you can develop an application with tab control to load remote desktop sessions in different tabs in one window.

PROBLEM: Starting earlier this year, I have a very small number (but growing) of users that can't print to their local printer. In some cases the printer is directly connected to the desktop and in others it is an IP printer. In all cases the printer is either an HP p2035n or an HP p1102w. The print job never reaches the printer and it generates "Error 6161" in the System event log on my TS. In each instance I have ensured that the client computer meets the minimum requirements for TS Easy Print driver.

I just installed Terminal services on a Windows 2008 server and purchased Windows 2012, 5 per users CAls. Installed the Licensing manager on the same server we Remote Desktop. The licenses were validated and pass the configuration with discovery scope to the Forest. Licensing Diagnosis shows "no identify licensing problems for terminal server". Shows me total available licenses 5 CALs. When I remote to the server using 3 or even 4 connections at the same time running and specific program I get the warning Event 4105

Also, when I remote desktop to the server, the accounts shows red down arrow and when I create reports using TS License manager shows me 5 TS CALs Installed, 4 TS Cals in use. When I already have 3 current connections conectingto the server. Also once ins a while I get a "Blue blank screen" with no options but disconnect. When connecting again I get the same Blue blank screen until I wait about an hour and I am able to connect again, with no Blue screen.

I have changed the IIS configuration for RWA to run on a non-standard port (tcp/4433) and authentication works fine. When i click the link to access the server, the remote RDP client tries to connect to the server but comes back with an error telling me "the server address requested and certificate subject name do not match" ff782bc1db
