The Reminder application is provided by developer (Artem Litvin) at no cost and is intended for use as is. If you choose to use the application, you therefore agree to usage of information as stated in this policy.
Information Collection and Use
All information you enter as reminders data (e.g. title, comments, date etc.) is stored locally on you device. This data therefore is not in any way accessible by developer or third parties.
The only application feature designated to send information out of device is cloud backup. Cloud backups reside in reliable and secured Google Firebase storage. To provide maximum security and confidentiality for reminders backup, application prompts the password to encrypt data before it transferred to cloud storage. Encryption method is Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) with cipher block chaining mode. AES uses a key for encryption. To creates a strong and unique key out of specified user password app uses PBKDF2 algorithm that takes a password and hashes it with random data many times over. For security reasons password is not stored with backup or anywhere else, so user have to remember it to be able to restore data from backup when it needed. All this prevents your actual reminders data in backup from access of developer, storage admins or any third parties personal.
To identify backup in cloud storage application uses device model information string and Google account ID number, which stored with no encryption in cloud related to backup.
User is free to delete his/hers cloud backup permanently at any time.
