Getting Started
Q: How do I add my first birthday? A: Tap the + button at the bottom right of the main screen. Enter the person's name, birthday, and optionally add a photo. Tap Save when done.
Q: Can I add a photo to a birthday? A: Yes! When adding or editing a birthday, tap the camera icon at the top to select a photo from your gallery or take a new one.
Q: How do I edit a birthday? A: Tap on any birthday card, then select Edit. Make your changes and tap Save.
Q: How do I delete a birthday? A: Swipe left on any birthday card and tap Delete, or tap the birthday card and select Delete from the menu.
Importing Birthdays
Q: How do I import birthdays from Contacts? A: Tap the contact icon (person with +) in the top right corner of the main screen. Grant permission to access your contacts when prompted, then select which birthdays you want to import.
Q: How do I import birthdays from Calendar? A: Tap the calendar icon (calendar with +) in the top right corner. Grant calendar access permission, then select the birthday events you want to import.
Q: Why don't I see some contacts when importing? A: Only contacts that have a birthday field filled in will appear in the import list.
Q: Can I import from Google Calendar? A: Yes, if your Google Calendar is synced with your iPhone's Calendar app, those events will be available for import.
Notifications
Q: How do I set up birthday reminders? A: Reminders are automatically set when you add a birthday. You'll receive a notification at 9:00 AM on the birthday by default.
Q: How do I change the notification time? A: Go to Settings → Notification Time and select your preferred time. This will apply to all birthday reminders.
Q: I'm not receiving notifications. What should I do? A:
Go to iPhone Settings → Notifications → Rememberly
Make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned ON
Check that your notification settings in the Rememberly app are enabled
Q: Can I get notifications a day before the birthday? A: Currently, notifications are sent on the birthday itself. Multi-day advance notifications are planned for a future update.
AI Wish Generator
Q: How do I generate AI birthday wishes? A: Long press (tap and hold) on any birthday card, then select Generate Wish. The AI will create a personalized birthday message.
Q: Can I edit the generated wish? A: Yes! After the wish is generated, you can edit it before copying or sharing.
Q: How do I share the generated wish? A: After generating a wish, tap the Share button to send it via Messages, WhatsApp, or copy to clipboard.
Q: Is the AI wish generator free? A: Yes, the AI wish generator is completely free to use.
Language & Localization
Q: How do I change the app language? A: Go to Settings → Language and choose from:

Q: Will changing the language affect my data? A: No, all your birthday data will remain unchanged. Only the app interface language will change.
Data & Privacy
Q: Where is my data stored? A: All your data is stored locally on your device only. We don't store or access your information on any servers.
Q: What happens to my data if I delete the app? A: All data will be permanently deleted from your device. Make sure to back up any important information before uninstalling.
Q: How do I backup my data? A: Currently, manual backup is not available. Your data is stored on your device. Cloud sync is planned for a future update.
Q: How do I delete all my data? A: Go to Settings → Data → Clear All Data. Tap the red button and confirm. Warning: This action cannot be undone.
Q: Does the app collect my personal information? A: No. We don't collect, store, or share your personal data. Everything stays on your device. Read our Privacy Policy for details.
Features
Q: Can I add notes to a birthday? A: Yes! When adding or editing a birthday, you can add notes in the notes field.
Q: How do I sort birthdays? A: Birthdays are automatically organized by month, starting with the current month. Within each month, they're sorted by day.
Q: Can I add multiple birthdays for the same person? A: Each person can have one birthday entry. If you need to track multiple events for the same person (birthday + anniversary), add them as separate entries.
Q: Does the app calculate age automatically? A: Yes! If you include the birth year, the app will automatically calculate and display the person's age.
Troubleshooting
Q: The app crashed. What should I do? A:

Make sure you have the latest version of the app
Q: Some features are in English even though I selected Russian/Kazakh A: Make sure you've updated to the latest version of the app. If the issue persists, try changing the language back and forth in Settings.
Q: I accidentally deleted a birthday. Can I recover it? A: Unfortunately, deleted birthdays cannot be recovered. We recommend being careful when deleting entries.

Q: Do I need to create an account? A: No! Rememberly works completely offline without any account or login required.
