I recently got a Pioneer DDJ 1000 and rekordbox and it's been a nightmare coming from a few years plalying on a Traktor setup. How on earth has this become the industry standard? Export for playlists doesn't work with FLAC and regularly hangs with no error code , There's no concept of a negative beat count, the beat makers are constantly off when analyzing, there's no means of auto deleting duplicated songs in a playlist. Am I alone here? I feel like so far the experience in Traktor has been far superior.

Hey I'm starting to learn djing and recently got a ddj400 with a rekordbox licence and I was wondering, since my track collection is not very large, is it worth getting a beatport streaming subscription?

Rekordbox won't let me log into rekordbox, it shows me a message saying: "In order to DJ with Beatport streaming tracks, you need to upgrade to an Advanced or Professional plan" and on windows it shows: "your subscription has expired."

I have beatport advanced, and have had it for months now. My last payment was yesterday. My beatport subscription works both on mobile and in browser (I can preview full tracks and re-download music). My last payment to beatport was yesterday. My beatport subscription also works on serato lite and pro, so it has to be rekordbox's fault.

I feel like Rekordbox has intentionally designed their library in a way that forces it to be broken unless you pay for their cloud library sync. There is no reason the rekordbox library can't be portable and sync with whatever cloud service you would like. If you already have a controller unlocking all the features you need from rekordbox, you literally have to pay $180 a year to backup this tiny little xml file. This is really frustrating because it basically encourages you to keep your whole library on your gig laptop and not back it up. Has anyone found workarounds to use their own cloud service?

I know this question is probably asked a million of times, but I'm curious with my specific goal. I'm more or less going to become a more producer Dj who wants to be able to play at clubs and events, while also starting my own internet radio show. Serato is the most popular software, but I'm curious where is rekordbox when it comes to the industry? I'm going to more or less learn both one day and I also use Ableton live where I also plan to do more live perfomances, so I have options. I just want to start my Djing journey with the software with the most benefit for me. Hope to hear everyone's thoguhts.

Thing: If I am currently playing something on my controller from my USB drive in my Laptop and another rekordbox user wants to B2B or start after me, can they just plug and play in my open rekordbox program by adding their flash drive next to mine?

I'm completely happy with what Serato does for me and have no complains - but i've been tempted to switch to rekordbox for the longest time JUST because it seems like the club standard, and i wanna be ready to play on any setup just in case

Hey guys , so i have started using Tidal with my rekordbox and i have a couple of question :

1.Now that im paying monthly for Tidal , am i allowed to use all of the music that they providing me anywhere and anytime ?

2.The playlist are synchronized in my Rekordbox software , so i will need wifi if im outside ?

I want to understand because if so i would like to know how can i use my playlist offline or to download them ? its kinda confusing honestly but that probably because im a beginner DJ haha :)

So, I currently have a collection of around 1500 tracks and I'd like to ask for some tips about organizing them in rekordbox for the best experience when using them on an XDJ XZ or CDJ 2000s. I am aware that there are so many features available such as tags, intelligent playlists, etc etc. But what are the ones you use most and what is the bare minimum for organizing a collection? Also, what is your process when importing new tracks?

I know many similar questions get asked here all the time, but after hours of trying to find the best practice for this I still don't understand- Before music ever gets organized into playlists (genres, BPMs, whatever) using Rekordbox (or whatever other DJ software) how do you store the music? Is it all in one big folder? Do you organize into playlists outside of rekordbox? If so, how granular is your out of DJ software management?

Hi, I recently bought my first controller that came with rekordbox, all good so far, but I realized A LOT of my tunes are very misaligned with the beat pattern, probably like at least 1/4 or 1/3 of them. I've seen other people with this problem but I was wondering if it's also as common for other people?

The track often loads 0,5-1 second in and starts at the 2nd beat instead of the first, so the entire grid is moved by 1 beat .

Okay redditors, you may have voiced your displeasure with rekordbox lighting on the Pioneer DJ forums or here on Reddit, but now's your chance - I want to hear from you on your experience with rekordbox lighting. This is to be a conversation about how you use these tools, not a platform for ranting and bitching or asking for fixtures to be added. We want to make sure the features you want and need in lighting are available to make your performance shine (pun intended).

Don't delete the default directories and create the symbolic links just yet.

First, replace your 2nd device's Rekordbox AppData and Program Files with the versions that are on Dropbox (copy them over from Dropbox to your 2nd device).

Once the files have been replaced, launch rekordbox.exe just to check that it everything loads without errors.

Now, I know that I have a rekordbox XML and a complete backup from towards the end of 2022 which I know all of those tracks are in those playlists. I don't want to mess with my current Rekordbox 6 xml/database etc. as it's now perfect for me, I'm just missing those tracks I put in those playlists before.

Good morning. I currently subscribe to beatport and soundcloud and that works for the majority of music i mix, but there are times where i want popular radio play music. I have tried searching for tracks on soundcloud and beatport but its few and far between. I know there are workarounds with 3rd party software to convert downloaded fiels from amazon music but its kinda convoluted. I know rekordbox has itunes integration, if i subscribe to apple music unlimited, can rekordbox/itunes "stream" tracks similar to how beatport and soundcloud work? Or is there any option for what i am looking to do? Does my question make sense?

Updated to 6, downloaded new music, ran it through rekordbox no issues, once its exported to USB all new songs are unable to export. says one or more files could not be exported etc. this is happening with all recently downloaded files, but when I import one from Ableton, it works and is exported. not sure what is the issue here or why it is not exporting. the files are all MP3 and work fine, theyre read in rekordbox everything is fine issue is when exporting,

So I just got myself a setup that uses reckordbox, and i have added a bunch of tracks to my library. For the most part, the analysis works quite nicely without needing any adjustment from me. But i have a bunch of weird trap songs that have long, beat-less intros, and weird offset timing on occasion. As expected, reckordbox is having issues putting a usable beatmap on these tracks. I am just wondering if anyone could help me find a good guide or give a good explanation on how to manually edit the tempo and beatmap with rekordbox. Also, is there a way to add a changing tempo/two different beatmaps/tempo's to a single track?

Am i the only one who experiences painfully slow export from my mac to a usb in rekordbox? I am using a sandisk extreme go 3.2 usb drive (128gb) but exporting around 200 tracks already takes ages. Does anyone know a solution? I dont want to wait all day if i need to export a few thousand tracks... I ve got the istats software which tells me it is only writing about 200kb/s most of the time, sometimes with short peaks to a few mb/s. Am i doing sth wrong here? Is it rekordbox? Is it the mac? Is it a shitty usb?

As the rekordbox for mac is probably the worst piece of software I have ever witnessed I was wondering is there any alternatives out there?

I use it only to prepare USB's, import playlists and keep the library in check so I'm not tied to it on a performance point of view, only as a metadata & database tool. 2351a5e196
