Jersey Taxi-Cab Regulatory Reform Program

After a 3 1/2 year period of consultation with all Stakeholders & the Public under both a Green & White Paper a Ministerial Decision was made on 28 Sept 2015 to implement The Jersey Taxi-Cab Regulatory Reform Program based on the final Recommendations contained within the TAS Consultation Report dated 10 Sept 2015.

After nearly 9 years! the Regulatory Reform Program has still not been completed and delivery of a number of areas have either been botched or simply not addressed. One of the stated Ministerial reasons for Regulatory Reform Program  was: "to bring the legislation in respect of cab services up to date".  Still having and enforcing Regulations without an adequate legal basis (or any) is a "Stretch" of the term "up to date" in the 21st Century, even in Jersey!
