Sir Mark Boleat - Policy Paper

In early 2024 Sir Mark Boleat conducted an examination of The Jersey Taxi Industry, with a particular focus on the Regulatory Framework which culminated in a Policy Paper published by The Policy Centre Jersey Think Tank on 27 June 2024 (UPDATED Aug 2024).

Meetings were also held with Senior Civil Servants within the Infrastructure Department (of which DVS is a simple Administrative Unit, with no Legal identity or Capacity of it's own).

Identified were key requirements that Taxi Industry Regulations:-

      • Be capable of delivery as an Administrative Function

      • Be capable of Enforcement
