I am a PhD student in economics at VU Amsterdam and Tinbergen Institute. My research interests include industrial organization (IO), the economics of innovation, applied microeconomics, and applied econometrics. My supervisors are Sabien Dobbelaere and Jose Luis Moraga-Gonzalez. In the first half of 2023, I visited Penn State's Econ Department under the invitation of Mark J. Roberts.
I am currently investigating why firms choose to perform internal (e.g., in-house) and external (e.g., outsourcing, research joint-venture) R&D. Another topic I am currently working on is what would happen to the firm's direction and scope of innovation given certain changes in the market structure (e.g., M&A activities, tax credits/subsidies).
In my spare time, I like to play tennis.
News: I am open to, interested in, and looking for :
(short/long) postdoctoral positions in academia,
(graduate intern/entry-level) consulting roles in the private sector.Â
