When installing Sage 300 either as a client or workstation install, you have to manually run regacc at the end in order for users without local admin rights to run the software. Why not include this operation as part of the installation process so it occurs automatically.

I think it does automatically run regacc when you do a workstation setup. I have seen it on a very slow workstation install that I was doing. At the end of the install it runs regacc. BUT a Sage person might be able to confirm or deny that.

I tried to run REGACC (elevated) and it is hanging on a file called Optaccpac.dll in the runtime directory. I have seen some issues around this file, PU4 and SQL Server 2008 and regacc not working. No one seems to have an answer to this. Was there a hotfix to get regacc working on this server configuration? Or am I marking up the wrong tree as to why I cannot get modules to activate? 2351a5e196
