What ARE Chem-e-talks?

Do you want to meet international academicians, researchers, entrepeneurs and industrialists? Do you want to interact with these dignitaries and gain knowledge through their experience? Then come join us at the Chem E talks and explore the world of chemical engineering and take home an inspiring and encouraging experience. Below mentioned are the eminent speakers and their achievements and work, who will be enlightning us through their talks.

Speakers

Sanjay Venugopal

Mr. Sanjay Venugopal is a Senior Technologist (advanced process control specialist) responsible for technology marketing at Yokogawa India,Bengaluru. He has delivered technical talks on advanced process control and optimization related topics in various institutions of repute like IIT-Chennai, NITK-Surathkal, NIT-Trichy,BITS-Pilani. He also has patents on model development for nonlinear process control.

Nandakumar V

Mr. Nadnakumar V is the Chief General Manager at the Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemical Limited(MRPL). He has been closely associated with operation of secondary processing units over his career span and is enthusiastic about the application of Information Technology tools in chemical engineering. He is a Chemical Engineer by degree and has handled multiple projects in MRPL during his term as Project Manager.

Santosh Avvannavar

Santosh Avvannavar is one of the eminent alumni of NITK. Starting his career as a consultant and Soft Skills Trainer, today he is the honorable Chief Commercial Officer at QtPi Robotics. He has worked as a researcher at University of Eindhoven, University of Twente, and IISc, Bangalore. He is a RJ, notable author (check out She: Ekla Cholo Re if you are into books), columnist whilst having over 25 published research documents,16 conference papers and numerous articles all over the world. He has also motivated the society as a TEDx organizer and 7-time speaker and now spends time as editor of the website Amrita foundation for HRD. More than 57,000 people in India and abroad have attended Santosh Avvannavar’s seminars and training sessions over the last seven years.

Prof Vidya shetty k

Having 18 years of experience in teaching at NITK, she is not only a brilliant professor but a very kind person by heart. Her primary interests include wastewater management and environmental technology. She has made several publications and completed innovative projects. Recently she has been conferred with Prof Satish Dhawan award by Karnataka State Council for Science and Technology for the year 2017.
