Overview

ReefLedger is an aquarium tank logging, maintenance planning, and water review app. The app is designed to help users record tank details, fish entries, water measurements, maintenance tasks, and catalog notes for their own aquarium systems.

Information We Collect

The app may store user-entered aquarium care data such as:

• tank name

• tank size, volume, water type, and start date

• fish name, species, count, arrival date, notes, and status

• water measurements such as temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, KH, GH, and salinity

• maintenance tasks, schedules, completion history, and notes

• catalog items such as equipment, plants, decor, food, or other supplies

• app preferences such as theme, units, haptics, motion, and onboarding status

This information is primarily stored locally on the user's device using local app storage unless a feature the user chooses transfers it outside the app.

Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

The app is not designed to intentionally collect:

• precise location

• contacts

• photos

• microphone recordings

• camera data

• health data

• government ID

• financial information

• passwords

• messages

• sensitive personal information

How We Use Information

Information is used to:

• display tank records and tank details

• show water status and recent measurements

• manage fish, maintenance, and catalog lists

• calculate local care summaries and status indicators

• remember app preferences

• improve the local user experience

Data Sharing

The app does not sell user data. The current app stores aquarium records locally on the device. Optional purchases, if used, are processed by Google Play Billing and not directly by the developer.

Third-Party Services

The app uses services and platform features required for its current behavior:

• Hive local storage for on-device data

• Google Play Billing for optional support purchases

• WebView to display the hosted privacy policy page

The app does not include analytics, advertising, account creation, authentication, or cloud sync services in the inspected source code.

Data Storage and Security

Aquarium records and preferences are stored locally on the user's device. The app uses the operating system's normal app sandbox and reasonable local safeguards. The inspected source code does not implement custom encryption, so this policy does not claim encrypted storage.

Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored data remains on the device until the user deletes it, resets app data, uninstalls the app, or uses the in-app reset feature. The app includes a reset option that clears tanks, fish, tasks, measurements, catalog items, and settings from local storage.

Children's Privacy

ReefLedger is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. The app is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

User Choices

Users can:

• add, edit, or delete entered records where supported by the app

• change app preferences such as units, theme, motion, and haptics

• reset locally stored app data using the in-app reset option

• uninstall the app to remove local app data from the device
