On behalf of the staff, students, and families of Redwood Shores, I welcome you to our school! Whether you are joining us for the first time, or returning with a younger sibling, I look forward to seeing you and getting to know your child.
When you come to Redwood Shores, you will find that the teachers and staff are exceptionally committed to their work empowering young people to question, gather information, think, and innovate. Our parent organizations, particularly School Force and our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), foster enrichment for students and powerful partnerships with our community.
The staff and families are here for our most important community members--our kids! The young people of Redwood Shores are respectful, kind, and creative. From the youngest students in preschool and transitional kindergarten to the oldest students in fifth grade, they are critical thinkers, collaborators, and problem solvers. Thanks to our teacher leadership teams who foster positive school culture and instructional innovation, every year, we grow and learn together, and I hope that your enrollment at our school will be the start of a rewarding, enriching, and supportive journey for your child.
As you think ahead to the first day of school, Wednesday, August 23, 2017, please know that there are many ways to get to know our team and get involved with our community. Browse this website, check out our live calendar, follow us on social media, or come to an event! When you come to campus, say hi, introduce yourself, and know that every family and every child is welcome at our school.
I look forward to seeing you soon!
With respect and appreciation,
Ms. Annie Cahoon, Principal
