The RED ROSE REUSES initiative came into being in response to a 6 week plastic awareness program presented by the College Park Climate Action Neighborhood in Spring of 2024. Made possible by the Mountain Watershed Association Direct Support Fund, participants were moved to action by what they learned. Plastics are ubiquetous, and yes, a lot of plastics are necessary, but not ALL plastics are necessary, especially single-use plastics.
As a matter of fact, single-use anything is not particulary helpful.
Collectively advocating for a more resilient future for all of us feels a lot more necessary and helpful.
We hope you'll consider joining us!

WHAT DOES SUPPORT LOOK LIKE?
You believe we can all take steps towards a more sustainable lifestyle or business model by rethinking, reusing and reducing. If that's you, consider sharing your reuse story We All Have a Story or emailing RedRoseReuses@gmail.com
You believe single-use plastics have created an unmanageable waste stream that needs to be addressed. If so, consider Signing Our Petition Of Support for a ban on single-use plastic bags and by request only, plastic straws, utensils and stirrers in the City of Lancaster.
