“BELIEVE NOTHING YOU HEAR, AND ONLY ONE HALF THAT YOU SEE.”
The death and final days of Edgar Allan Poe remain one of literature’s great unsolved mysteries. This “macabre cabaret” leads an audience through the darkened catacombs of Poe’s last nightmare, encountering many of his most infamous creations as he draws ever closer to the Red Room.
The show is presented by the Shylock Project, a group of interdisciplinary artists from the Syracuse, New York area. We have performed original works at festivals in Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New York City, and Venice and are excited to be road-testing our new "Poe Show" at Toronto Fringe Festival!
