Redirect Guard Privacy Policy

Effective date: November 1, 2026

Redirect Guard helps you control unwanted website redirects and popup tabs using domains you choose to protect, block, or allow.

Information handled

Redirect Guard processes the following information locally on your device:

The extension does not maintain a browsing-history log. Domains you add to its lists are saved as settings.

How information is used

Information is used only to provide the extension’s features: display the current website, manage your domain lists, enforce blocking rules, close untrusted popup tabs, and remember your preferences.

Redirect Guard does not read page contents, passwords, payment information, personal communications, or precise location. It does not track keystrokes, mouse movements, or scrolling.

Storage and sharing

Settings are stored locally using your browser’s extension storage. Redirect Guard does not transmit the information it handles to the developer or external servers.

The extension contains no analytics, advertising trackers, or remote executable code. It does not sell, rent, or share user information with third parties or use it for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.

Your controls

You can view and remove saved domains through the extension menu. The on/off switch pauses blocking and popup closing while preserving your settings.

Removing a domain deletes that entry from the saved list. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension settings through the browser.

Limited use

Redirect Guard’s use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated if the extension’s data practices change. The effective date will identify the latest revision.
