Recycle-Time

This app has the goal to teach user, specially kids, about the importance of allocating garbage the right way. In order to do that, the app presented problems caused by the trash in a very friendly way, like comparing the amount of trash produced with elephants weight, after it, there was presented one possible way to mitigate it, the Selective Waste Collection, this method of dealing with trash was chosen because it has colors that may keep child focused and entertained.

I thought it would be interesting to create a character which they could relate, like the Recycle Ranger, who is a superhero that battle against the trash that people throw away. In the app, he invited the user to help him with the trash problem, on the process of solving it, the user may have learned how the Selective Waste Collection works and the importance of allocating trash the right way.

I chose this idea because there are really close people to me who work with environment protection, so I always had this concern about how we are treating the world that will host next generations. This app is only a possible way of mitigating the problem, because in the context of allocating trash the right way, we still have a lot to do in order to spread information and infrastructure for collecting and treating trash.
