Privacy-first summary
Recurio Tracker is a privacy-first subscription tracker. It is designed to keep subscription records, settings, reminders, backups, diagnostics, and the local database on your device. Core subscription tracking works without an account, backend server, cloud sync, advertising, analytics, telemetry, remote configuration, or social sharing.
Recurio Tracker has one optional network feature: exchange-rate refresh from Frankfurter. This request retrieves public exchange-rate data and does not send subscription names, prices, categories, billing dates, reminder settings, backup files, or the local database.
Information stored on your device
Recurio Tracker stores app data locally on your device, including subscription names, prices, currencies, categories, billing cycles, renewal dates, reminder settings, usage counts, app preferences, exchange-rate snapshots, local diagnostic categories, and backup files created when you choose to export a backup.
Depending on your device, this local data may be stored using SQLite, app preferences, Android or iOS app storage, iOS app-group storage for widgets, local notification storage, and temporary files used for backup or diagnostic sharing.
Subscription data
Subscription records are stored locally and used to show your dashboard, calculate totals, search and filter subscriptions, schedule local reminders, create user-initiated backups, restore selected backups, and power local widgets where supported. Recurio Tracker does not upload subscription records to a Recurio Tracker server.
Reminders and notifications
Recurio Tracker schedules local renewal reminders on your device. Notification content may include subscription information, such as a subscription name or renewal date. Depending on device settings, notifications may appear on the lock screen, notification shade, notification center, or other system surfaces. Recurio Tracker does not use a remote push-notification service.
Backups and restore
Backup export and restore are user-initiated. When you export a backup, Recurio Tracker creates an unencrypted JSON backup file with a CRC32 integrity check. The backup can include subscription names, prices, currencies, categories, billing dates, billing cycles, provider hints, usage fields, and reminder settings. CRC32 can help detect accidental corruption; it is not encryption and does not protect the backup contents from someone who can read the file.
When you export a backup, Recurio Tracker opens the Android or iOS share interface so you can choose where to save or send the file. If you share, upload, save, or send the backup through another app or service, that destination may process its copy under its own terms and privacy practices. Restore is replace-only: restoring a backup replaces the subscriptions currently stored on the device with the subscriptions in the selected backup file.
Local diagnostics
Recurio Tracker can keep a short local diagnostic history to classify app failure paths, such as database, backup, notification, platform-channel, runtime, or exchange-rate refresh failures. Diagnostics are designed to stay local and use categories, severity levels, day buckets, count buckets, size buckets, allowlisted failure reasons, and sanitized runtime source or error-kind values.
Diagnostics are designed not to include subscription names, prices, categories, provider hints, backup contents, notification title or body text, database paths, file paths, raw exception messages, stack traces, native error details, tokens, keystores, or device-specific sensitive information. You can clear local diagnostics in the app. If you choose to export a diagnostic report, Recurio Tracker creates a temporary local report file and opens the platform share interface. Recurio Tracker does not automatically send diagnostic reports to a server.
Optional exchange-rate refresh
Recurio Tracker can refresh exchange rates from Frankfurter by sending an HTTPS request to api.frankfurter.dev for public exchange-rate data. The request is limited to rate data, such as the base currency and requested quote currencies. It does not include subscription names, prices, categories, billing dates, provider hints, reminder settings, backup files, or the local database.
Frankfurter or network intermediaries may receive standard request metadata, such as IP address, request time, user agent or platform-provided headers, and the requested URL. Frankfurter's handling of that metadata is governed by its own terms and privacy practices.
What Recurio Tracker does not do
Recurio Tracker does not include backend account creation, cloud sync, advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, telemetry, remote crash reporting, remote configuration, automatic bank/email/receipt/app-store imports, multi-user collaboration, or social sharing. Recurio Tracker does not sell personal data.
Third-party and platform services
Recurio Tracker may interact with Frankfurter for optional exchange-rate refresh; Android and iOS operating system services for local notifications, widgets, file picking, share sheets, app settings, and background scheduling; user-selected apps or services when you export a backup or diagnostic report; and Google Play or other app distribution platforms depending on where you installed the app.
Retention and deletion
Recurio Tracker keeps local app data on your device until you change it, delete individual subscriptions, restore a replacement backup, clear app storage, uninstall the app, or your operating system removes app data. Backup files that you export or share are controlled by the apps, folders, cloud drives, or services you choose. Exchange-rate snapshots and app preferences are stored locally until they are replaced, changed, cleared with app storage, or removed by app or operating system behavior.
There is no Recurio Tracker backend account or cloud subscription database to delete. You can manage local subscription data in the app, clear app data through your operating system, or uninstall the app. For privacy questions or requests, contact mahirtrnc@gmail.com.
Security notes
Recurio Tracker is designed to keep core subscription data local, but local storage is not the same as end-to-end encrypted cloud storage. Backup files are unencrypted JSON and should be treated as sensitive files. Notifications and widgets can display subscription information on system surfaces that other people near your device may see, depending on your device settings. The optional Frankfurter exchange-rate request uses HTTPS. The security of an exported backup after sharing depends on the destination you choose.
Children's privacy
Recurio Tracker is not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through a channel controlled by Mahir Turunç, contact mahirtrnc@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when Recurio Tracker's data practices change, such as if a future release adds accounts, cloud sync, telemetry, analytics, ads, remote configuration, new network providers, external cancellation links, new backup behavior, new app-store distribution channels, or new third-party SDKs. The effective date at the top of this page shows when this policy version takes effect.
