Extension: reCraft - Send to reMarkable
reCraft operates entirely on your personal device and browser. We do not collect, track, store, or sell any personal data, browsing history, or document contents.
reCraft ("the Extension") is an open, productivity-oriented browser extension designed for a single specific purpose: to distill webpage article contents into e-ink optimized PDFs and transmit them directly to your personal reMarkable tablet via the official reMarkable Cloud API.
reCraft collects zero personal data:
No Browsing History: The extension does not monitor, log, or transmit your browsing history or visited URLs.
No Personal Identifiers: We do not ask for or collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account credentials.
No Analytics or Telemetry: There are no Google Analytics, Firebase, Sentry, or third-party tracking scripts included in the extension code.
No Advertising: The extension contains no ads, sponsors, or commercial marketing trackers.
All document distillation, text extraction, and PDF generation occurs entirely client-side within your browser memory using local JavaScript libraries:
Active Page Parsing: When you trigger the extension (via the toolbar button, context menu, or Alt+P shortcut), readability scripts extract article text solely from your active browser tab.
Local Storage (chrome.storage.local): Your configuration settings (selected margin mode, default destination folder, target hardware profile, appearance theme) and your device authentication tokens are saved strictly within your browser's local sandbox.
To deliver your distilled documents to your tablet, the extension communicates directly with reMarkable's official encrypted cloud servers (internal.cloud.remarkable.com and webapp.cloud.remarkable.com).
Authentication and document upload payloads travel strictly between your web browser and reMarkable Cloud over HTTPS TLS 1.3 encryption.
No intermediate servers, proxies, or cloud relays are operated by reCraft.
You retain complete control over your stored credentials at all times:
Clicking "Disconnect Account" in the reCraft Settings page immediately purges all stored device tokens, pairing information, and cached folder IDs from your browser storage.
Uninstalling the extension from Chrome automatically deletes all associated local configuration data.
If you have questions regarding this Privacy Policy or the security practices of reCraft, please file an issue or contact the project repository.
