Karim Fouad, PhD

Interests:

Dr. Fouad is a basic researcher interested in motor control and neuroplasticity following injuries of the central nervous system. His work is focusing on the mechanisms of rehabilitative training in animal models of spinal cord injury and the interaction between training and pharmacological treatments designed to repair the nervous system. His work currently focuses on forelimb training and factors that influence training efficacy.

Karim Fouad is currently the co-chair of the Open Data Commons in pre-clinical research initiative, and a member of the SCIRTS review board of the Craig Neilsen Foundation.
