Interests:

Dr. Magnuson’s research focuses on how activity/inactivity, exercise/immobility and physical therapy approaches lead to long-term gains and losses of locomotor and cardiovascular function in rodent models of spinal cord injury. He directs the Animal Surgery and Electrophysiology & Behavior Core facilities at the Kentucky Spinal Cord Injury Research Center at the University of Louisville and is co-director of the Interdisciplinary PhD Program in Translational Neuroscience.
