When you use Memory AI, Recol may process inputs such as selected photos, Box title, Box description, existing memory context, and text you provide. These inputs may be sent to third-party AI service providers to generate story suggestions or related text output.
We do not require you to use AI features. If you choose to use them, avoid submitting information that is highly sensitive, confidential, illegal, or that you do not have the right to process.
AI outputs may be inaccurate or unsuitable. You should review and edit AI-generated content before saving, sharing, or sending it.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following situations:
When you send a Box, accept a friend, chat, invite someone to co-create, participate in a co-created Box, or make a Box visible on your Showcase Wall, the relevant users may see the content and profile information needed for that feature.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Recol, including providers for cloud hosting, storage, databases, media delivery, analytics, crash reporting, security, customer support, push notifications, purchase validation, and AI processing.
Purchases are processed through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple may process payment, subscription, refund, and account information under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. Apple Push Notification service may process notification-related information to deliver notifications to your device.
We may disclose information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, enforce our Terms, investigate abuse, protect users, prevent fraud, secure our service, or protect rights, property, and safety.
If Recol is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.
Recol may provide settings that allow you to:
Control Showcase Wall visibility
Allow or prevent others from searching for you
Allow or prevent friends from sending you Boxes
Block or unblock users
Remove friends
Delete certain content where supported
Delete your account where supported
Manage push notification permissions in iOS Settings
Manage App Tracking Transparency permission in iOS Settings
Some controls may not remove information already viewed, saved, copied, screenshotted, or recorded by another user.
We keep information for as long as needed to provide Recol, maintain your account, operate features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and maintain security.
If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify account information and associated content where reasonably possible, subject to backup retention, fraud prevention, legal obligations, safety records, transaction records, and technical limitations.
Purchase records, safety reports, and certain logs may be retained for longer where necessary for compliance, security, billing, or dispute-resolution purposes.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for using a strong password.
Your information may be processed and stored in countries or regions other than where you live. Data protection laws may differ from those in your location. By using Recol, you understand that your information may be processed internationally as necessary to provide the service.
Recol is not intended for children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country or region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who are not permitted to use the service. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us without appropriate consent, contact us at recol321@outlook.com.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To request assistance, contact us at recol321@outlook.com. We may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests.
Recol offers optional VIP and SVIP subscriptions and consumable coin packs through Apple In-App Purchase only. We use purchase information to provide paid features, maintain subscription status, update coin balances, process purchase restoration, prevent fraud, and provide customer support.
We do not use third-party payment processors for iOS in-app purchases. We do not receive your full credit-card number or full payment credentials from Apple.
Subscription management, payment method changes, cancellation, and refunds are handled by Apple through your Apple account settings.
With your permission, Recol may send push notifications about app activity, such as friend requests, chat messages, Box deliveries, co-creation invitations, sealed Box opening reminders, account updates, and service notices.
You can turn off push notifications at any time in iOS Settings. Disabling notifications may affect your ability to receive timely reminders about sealed Boxes or friend activity.
Where required by Apple, Recol will request App Tracking Transparency permission before tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies or accessing the advertising identifier for tracking purposes.
If permission is denied, we will not use the advertising identifier for tracking. We may still use information for non-tracking purposes such as app security, fraud prevention, app functionality, and aggregate or privacy-preserving analytics, where permitted.
Recol may include links to external websites, legal pages, support pages, or third-party services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their policies before providing information to them.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice in the app or by other reasonable means. The updated policy will be effective when posted, unless stated otherwise.
