Recipto AI (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Recipto AI mobile app handles your information.
Recipto AI does not require account creation, login, or user registration.
We do not collect personal identity information like name, email, or phone number inside the app.
When you use the app, you may add:
Receipt images
Receipt details like merchant name, amount, date, category
Notes, warranty info, and bill reminders
This data is stored only on your device using local storage.
We do not upload or store this personal receipt data on our servers.
Recipto AI includes optional AI powered features such as:
Receipt text extraction (OCR)
Financial summaries
Spending insights
AI coaching suggestions
When you use these AI features, selected receipt data may be securely transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C., a third party artificial intelligence service provider, for processing.
The data sent may include:
Receipt text
Merchant name
Transaction amount
Date
Category
User added notes related to that receipt
Data is transmitted only when you actively use an AI feature.
The data is used only to generate the requested AI result and return a response inside the app.
We do not sell your data.
We do not use AI data for advertising.
We do not build user profiles.
OpenAI processes the transmitted data according to its own privacy policy and provides industry standard data protection measures.
We ensure that third party service providers maintain the same or equal level of data protection as required under applicable privacy laws.
AI features are optional. You may use manual entry features if you prefer not to use AI processing.
Before using AI features for the first time, you will be asked to provide explicit consent for AI data processing.
We may collect limited non personal technical data such as:
Device type
Operating system version
App version
Crash logs
Basic usage events
This is used only for:
Bug fixing
Performance improvement
Feature quality checks
This data does not identify you personally.
The free version of the app may show ads using Google AdMob.
Ad providers may collect device level advertising data according to their own privacy policies. We do not control how ad networks use their data.
Subscriptions and purchases are handled by:

Google Play Store
We do not receive or store your card details or payment information.
All receipts and financial records are stored locally on your device.
If you delete the app or clear app data, your stored receipts may be lost. You are responsible for exporting or backing up your data using the export features provided.
We do not sell personal data.
Data is shared only in the following limited cases:
AI Processing
When you use AI features, selected receipt data is securely transmitted to OpenAI, L.L.C. for the sole purpose of generating AI responses.
Advertising
If you use the free version, Google AdMob may collect device level advertising identifiers according to its own privacy policy.
Subscription Processing
Subscription validation is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not receive your payment details.
Since data is stored locally:
You can delete receipts anytime
You can delete all data by clearing app storage
You can uninstall the app to remove all stored data
The app is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy in the future. Updated versions will be posted inside the app or on the store listing.
