This Privacy Policy explains how RecipeApp ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use our mobile application. We built this app to help you browse and save recipes, and we've written this policy to be clear about what happens with your data.

1. Information We Collect
RecipeApp communicates with a remote server (via a REST API) to fetch and display the recipe list, and to allow you to submit new recipes. Specifically:

Recipes you view: The app fetches recipe data (titles, ingredients, instructions, images) from our server to display it to you.
Recipes you add: When you create or submit a recipe, that content (title, ingredients, instructions, and any images you include) is sent to our server via the API and stored there so it can be shown in the recipe list.
No account or personal information required: The app does not require you to sign up, log in, or provide your name, email address, or phone number to use it.
No sensitive permissions: The app does not access your contacts, location, microphone, or camera roll, unless you explicitly use a feature that requires it (for example, attaching a photo to a recipe you submit). Image selection is handled through the Android system photo picker, so RecipeApp does not have direct access to your gallery.

2. How Your Data Is Stored
Recipes you submit are sent to our server over the internet via a REST API and stored there so they can be displayed within the app to you and, where the app is designed for shared/community recipes, to other users. We do not sell the content of recipes you submit.

3. Third-Party Services
As of the current version, RecipeApp does not integrate third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We do not share the recipes or content you create with anyone outside of the app's own storage/sync functionality.

5. Data Retention and Deletion
Recipes and content you submit remain on our server until you request their removal. If you'd like a recipe or content removed, contact us using the details below.

6. Children's Privacy
RecipeApp is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect data handled by the app, but no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
