Overview

ReciFree is a personal recipe management app designed to keep your data in your control at all times.

Data Storage

Your recipes, photos, and all app data are stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit service. This data is private to you and is never accessed, viewed, or collected by the developer.

Recipe Import

When you import a recipe from a URL, the app fetches the content of that web page on your device. No URLs or browsing activity are logged or transmitted to the developer.

AI-Assisted Recipe Import (Optional)

If you enable AI-assisted import in Settings, you supply your own API key for Anthropic or Google (Gemini). When you use this feature, the app sends the recipe or caption text you're importing to that provider's servers so it can be parsed into a structured recipe — using your key, under your account with them. This feature is off by default and only activates once you add your own key. ReciFree's developer never sees this data; it goes directly from your device to the AI provider you chose. Recipe Sharing

When you share a recipe using the built-in share feature, the recipe data is packaged into a file on your device and sent through whichever service you choose (AirDrop, Messages, Mail, etc.). The developer has no involvement in or visibility into this transfer.

Third-Party Services

Aside from the optional AI-assisted import above, ReciFree does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Deletion

Deleting the app removes all local data. To remove iCloud data, go to Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
