Fall is part of a series reflecting monthly field work myself and others at the University at Buffalo conducted to collect data from a lake in western New York.

This season is my favorite time for field work because of the beautiful fall foliage. Here we are collecting samples of plants growing in the lake, such as lily pads.

My field work, and the University at Buffalo, are on the lands of the Seneca Nation, a member of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy.
