What we collect
Your name and surname.
Your contact details: cell or telephone number and email address.
What you tell us about your property or what you are looking for, for example the suburb, type of property, timeline, asking price or rental, and any message you send us.
Information needed for a sale or rental you take part in, for example identity and FICA documents.
Website usage information collected through cookies and analytics (see Cookies and analytics below).
Where it comes from
Forms on our website, www.realty1pne.co.za (List Your Property, Contact Us and property enquiries). Enquiries through property portals such as Property24 and Private Property. Forms in our online adverts, including Google Ads lead forms and Facebook / Instagram adverts. Phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email and meeting you in person.
Google Ads lead forms
When you complete a lead form in one of our Google adverts, Google passes the details you entered (your name, email address, phone number and your answers to the form's questions) to us. We use them only to contact you about your enquiry, for example to discuss selling or renting out your property or to arrange a valuation. Google's own use of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Why we use your information
To respond to your enquiry and contact you about it. To provide our services: valuations, marketing and selling or letting your property, and finding property for you. To manage mandates, offers, sales and leases you are part of. To meet our legal obligations, for example record keeping under FICA and the Property Practitioners Act. With your consent only, to send you property news, valuations or alerts; you can opt out at any time.
Who we share it with
Our agents and staff who need the information to help you. Service providers who help us run the business (for example email, IT, hosting and client-database services), under contract and only for the services they provide to us. Other parties to a transaction you take part in, such as attorneys and bond originators, when that is needed for the transaction. Regulators, courts or law enforcement when the law requires it. We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising to our past clients
We may share our past clients' contact details, in hashed (scrambled) form, with advertising platforms such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to show them relevant property news. To opt out, email info@realty1moreleta.co.za, WhatsApp 082 495 6666 or call 012 998 0720 and we will remove you.
How we keep it safe and for how long
Your information is stored in secure systems that only authorised staff can access. Some of our service providers may store information outside South Africa; where this happens we use providers that protect it to a standard at least equal to POPIA. We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, or for as long as the law requires.
