01. CANON DIVERGENCE FOR CANON MUSES. Though I like to think I put my own twist on my canons, most of my muses are canon-compliant. However, a lot of them are also headcanon-based. However, for my canon-compliant muses, I am more than happy to go along with anyone's canon-divergence.
02. FOLLOWING/UNFOLLOWING. I will unfollow for the following reasons: a lot of uncut posts, untagged hate for characters/ships/stories I like, (though this one I don’t always unfollow for), hateful ideas, belittling real issues. I also might unfollow if we’re not mutuals (and you’re mutuals only) because I want to keep my dash mostly people I’m actually going to RP with. I also most likely won’t follow you if you have a multimuse blog and all of your muses are straight and cis. I also most likely won't follow you if you have a multimuse and all of your muses are white. I will definitely not follow you if you participate in any whitewashing. I still need to work on the diversity of my muses myself, but I do care about it and definitely want to make it clear that whitewashing muses of color is not acceptable. I want this blog to be as safe as I can make it. That means no racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, etc. Basically, be kind and not prejudiced against anyone, and we’ll get along fine. I'd also like to keep my following to mostly active mutuals, so if you've ever wondered how to interact with me, see here. If I follow you and you don't follow back for a month + and you've been online, I'll unfollow. If you want to interact later on, feel free to follow and I'll follow back. I can't do the whole 'staring longingly at a blog wishing they'd follow back' thing anymore. Because it's ruining RPing for me. I do not only interact with mutuals, however. I am willing to interact with nonmutuals , aka those who follow me and I don't follow back. If we start interacting and I enjoy it, I will end up following back. So then we will be mutuals. Reasons I might not follow back include: being unfamiliar with the muse/fandom, unsure how any of my muses might interact with yours, and unsure if our writing styles would mesh. But I'm happy to be proven wrong on any of the above.
03. NSFW CONTENT AND RP LIMITS. I am 18+/21+ (30 to be exact), so I can RP NSFW topics, including smut. However, I won’t RP smut with anyone under 18. After thinking about it, I wouldn’t RP abuse, rape, or incest. While such topics aren’t necessarily triggering to me, they are upsetting and they could be triggering to others so I’d want to handle them with care. That does not mean, however, that my muses’ backstories will be free of such topics. But for that, I will always put trigger warnings, including in threads. I won’t be RPing anything that triggers me (see below). I won’t be RPing any of my muses giving birth. Pregnancy/post-birth baby threads are ok, but the actual giving-birth process freaks me out.. I will tag anything that I am asked to tag, whether it's a trigger or just something you don't want to see on your dash. .My triggers (which I would appreciate if you could tag if we are mutuals) are any kind of conditions or diseases that can happen quickly and can be fatal (ex. heart attacks, aneurysms, seizures, etc.) (Tag with medical tw/medical cw/star don’t look) & panic attacks (tag with panic attack tw/star don’t look).
04. CALLOUTS/DRAMA/DNI/MUSE DNI SORT OF. I do sometimes reblog callouts, if I think they're important for the RP community. Most of the ones I reblog tend to focus on OOC harm, not IC. . I am not here for drama in any way, shape, or form. I am also not here to hate on people for writing darker topics. I do believe, however, that triggering topics and even upsetting ones should always be tagged so people can avoid them if they want to.. For more of my thoughts re: which callouts I will and won't reblog, read here. That being said, there are certain cases, with certain muses that should not (in my opinion) be written about in a glorifying way that I will personally be uncomfortable with interacting with. That includes: any muses from 13 reasons why, nazi/hydra/etc. muses, bigoted muses of any form, really (unless they’re written as a villain, of course). I do, however, know that mun does not equal muse. I will evaluate any blogs I follow on a case-by-case basis. I also will not be as strict on this rule with multimuses if there are enough muses I want to interact with. I am also all for a good redemption story, if it’s well done (see my verses for Renfri, as an example), and do not think that all cases of redeeming darker muses fit into this glorifying situation. Again, it really depends on the muse and their story, and odds are if you think your muse(s) fit into this and I follow you, they probably don’t, tbh. Again, mun does not equal muse. And I do believe that redemption arcs for anti-heroes and even some villains are possible. If you think you or your muses break this rule, feel free to reach out. Because in most cases, especially if I follow you, this won’t be the case. Also, there aren't specific RPers I don't want to interact with (at the moment), but there are some types of RPers who I don't. For more detail, read here. Essentially, I don't want to interact with
RPers who "don't interact with all female blogs". I have many female muses. And nonbinary muses , and a few male muses tossed in for fun. However, I tend to have more and easier muse for women & nonbinary muses than I do for the men. Sorry. What can I say? I am super gay.
RPers who are (too) "selective with w/w (f/f) threads". I am but a simple lesbian who craves sapphic threads. And also, romance isn't the be-all end-all for me and my muses anyway. If it is for you/yours, we're probably not a good fit as RP partners, because while I do love romance , my muses need friends and enemies and found family members too.
RPers with long long DNI lists (with specific names listed). I fully respect your right to avoid whoever you want/need to. However, in a lot of cases, it's more for IC harm than OOC and like I say above, I don't personally believe in callouts for IC harm. OOC is a different story, of course.
RPers who are mean to other people in the RPC solely based on what topics they write. Not talking about not writing xyz topic. That's totally fine. More like "if you write xyz topic, I hate you and you should feel terrible and die kinda thing." I fully respect when people don't want to write topics. However, you not wanting to write a topic ever should be respected. You telling others they're not allowed to either, should not necessarily be respected. That said, I do believe sensitive topics should be handled with care. However, I do believe in giving people the benefit of the doubt and kindly pointing out when writing is harmful or relying on stereotypes or harmful tropes. Because 9/10, the RPer writing such things probably isn't aware. And if they are aware, they were probably made so in a very....shall we say....rude way. So instead of getting curious, they felt attacked and got defensive. Not saying that they should react that way. They shouldn't. But I think it's very human. Nobody's perfect, and no one likes to feel like they're being attacked. So a little kindness goes a long way.
People with long banned FC lists. Half the time, idk what the people have done wrong to even be on the list. Of course, the answer could be "nothing". I totally respect if people just...don't like a FC. That being said, if your banned list includes people who (as far as I know) aren't obviously problematic/harmful, I will likely be skeptical of it. Sorry. That said, this is very much a case-by-case basis thing. To be clear, I don't have a problem with someone having a banned FC list, or even a long one. While it sometimes does bother me a little if the list is full of people who as far as I know haven't done anything wrong, I do respect it. And if all things considered someone seems like a good RP partner otherwise, I will totally overlook them having a longer banned FC list. Obviously, if half my FCs are on there, we're probably not a good match RP-wise. But if that's not the case, then we could absolutely still interact.
RPers who forget/ignore the existence of nonbinary muses. As a nonbinary mun with nonbinary muses, I find this frustrating. I tend to not reply to starters that are only for m/w muses. Not because I don't have muses that fit under those categories, but because I feel it's unfair to exclude nonbinary muses from RPs totally. Nonbinary muses are here, they're queer, and they want to be included too. xoxo the nonbinary mun
None of these are full-on DNIs in the sense that I won't get upset if people who fit some of these interact with me. Nor will I necessarily never interact with people who fit some of these criteria myself. Especially the "long banned list" and "long DNI list" ones. I'm willing to make exceptions for those ones for sure.
05. OCs MATTER. Please interact with my OCs, as well as my canon characters. I don’t mind if you follow me for my canons, but please consider giving my OCs a chance. Note: if you don’t want to interact with my OCs because you just can’t think of plots, etc. then let me know. I’d be more than happy to think of a plot or create a verse for you! :) .
If you still don’t feel comfortable interacting with my OCs after reading this rule, please let me know. I won’t necessarily change them, but I will take everything people tell me into consideration. I also won’t necessarily hold it against you if you don’t interact with my OCs, and just stick to my canon muses, however, priority will tend to be given to those who interact with my OCs
Note that this rule doesn’t go the other way around. You don’t have to interact with my canons in order to interact with my OCs.This rule is only for my own comfort and for the purposes of having fun on this blog. I adore my OCs and just want them to get the same chance for interactions that my canons have. That’s all. I do appreciate everyone who interacts with any of my muses, so don’t worry. This rule is just to make sure everyone knows that hey OCs exist and they deserve interaction as well.
06. GENERAL RP STUFF . No godmodding unless it's small things that serve the story in the thread. If you're unsure, feel free to ask. Memes and opens are open forever. Feel free to send memes/reply to open starters at any time. I know that I don’t often reblog memes asking for critique but I do genuinely care about good representation. If I am ever writing any of my muses in a way that is offensive to any marginalized group, please let me know and I will stop right away.. . If I need to, I will change the muse’s story to remove the offensive element, or delete the muse entirely. I mean it. I am not fast with replies, nor will I ever be. If it's been a while and I haven't responded, you can politely mention it but don't pressure me. To make RPing more sustainable for me, I need to put certain boundaries in place to ensure that I have creativity and energy left over for my own (other) creative projects. To do so, I have decided to only RP when I have the time, energy, and muse. That means I might go a few weeks without replying. My reply speed will never be fast. If you're not alright with that, this might not be the blog for you.
