BIOGRAPHY.

☆  My childhood wasn’t the best. My father resented my green appearance. He got so concerned, that when my mother was pregnant with my younger sister, Nessa Rose, he made her have tons of milkflower. Sadly, she passed away after giving birth to my sister. I always felt it was my fault. As he wouldn’t have been worried about it without me.

Then, it was time for Nessa to attend Shiz University. So I went with her and my father. In addition, I was put in a room with Galinda Upland. We hated each other at first. We were pretty much strangers sharing a room, and a terrible loathing for each other. But something changed the night Galinda invited me to the Ozdust Ballroom. I came in wearing a hat she had given me, and everyone laughed. But something strange happened. I started dancing, and the laughs increased. But then Galinda joined me.

After that, we became friends. She wanted to help me be popular. Though I didn’t necessarily want or need that, I was glad to have a friend at last. Then came the day Doctor Dillamond was taken out of class. I did a spell on everyone in the class except Fiyero, and we both rescued a lion cub and brought the cub to safety.

Then, I got invited to the Emerald City to meet the Wizard of Oz. Galinda, in honor of Doctor Dillamond, renamed herself Glinda. I invited her to go with me to meet the Wizard, and she accepted. Once there, we became enamored with the Emerald City and wanted to make it our home. However, it turns out this whole thing was too good to be true. The wizard is mistreating the animals of Oz. And intends to use the flying monkeys that I helped create as spies. That doesn’t seem fair to me. And so, I ran away, taking the grimmery with me.

Glinda came after me, and I offered to have her come with me. We could make our dreams come true, together. But she said no. She didn’t go with me. However, at least I’m not with the Wizard. That man cannot be trusted. Even though I’m alone, I feel free for the first time in my life. And I’m going to do what I can to make the best of this opportunity.

After a while, I was frustrated that I couldn't help the animals like I wanted. I tried my best, but kept getting foiled by the Wizard and Madam Morrible. Eventually, I went to see my sister Nessa. Asked her to help me. And I made her float, to make her happy. Then Boq came in and it all went wrong. Nessa did a spell on him from the grimmerie, which can never be reversed. So I had to do another spell, to save him. 

Afterward, I went to see Glinda, just before her wedding. I went to talk to the Wizard, too, and Glinda joined us. Then, I thought we had a deal. That the Wizard would stop blaming the animals and let the monkeys go free. He did let the monkeys go. He even let me do it. But then, I discovered he had many animals , including Dr. Dillamond, locked up. I set them free, of course, and told the Wizard to run. 

Fiyero came and threatened the Wizard. Then Glinda came. I wanted her to know we hadn't betrayed her, and we hadn't. Glinda told us to go, so we did. I was  shocked that Fiyero wanted to come with me. I had never expected such a thing to happen. But it did. Fiyero and I slept together and spent some time together. Then, I saw a vision of a house falling on Nessa. I went to save her, but it was too late. 

The house had fallen, belonging to a girl named Dorothy from Kansas. Glinda had given her my sister's shoes, and I was determined to get them back. They weren't hers to give at all. Then, Glinda and I fought. Guards came, but luckily Fiyero threatened Glinda to save me. Glinda and Fiyero both told me to go, so I did. 

I tried my hardest to save Fiyero, but was unsure whether or not I was successful. So I was determined not to do any more good deeds, as they always backfired on me. I eventually kidnapped Dorothy to try to get Nessa's shoes back. And Glinda came to help me. To warn me that they were after me. I was used to it at that point and so I hatched a plan in my head. Glinda and I spoke about how we had been changed for good by the other's presence in our lives. I told her to hide, that it would be alright, that I loved her. She said she loved me too, and watched as Dorothy and her friends "killed me." 

But secretly, I didn't die. I was hiding under the floorboards. Later, Fiyero, who had turned into a scarecrow as a result of my spell, found me and we went beyond Oz together. My story, therefore, has a somewhat tragic ending. But luckily, Oz's doesn't. I gave the grimmerie to Glinda before I left. I told her that it was up to her to continue my legacy, to help the animals. I've heard she sent away the Wizard and locked up Madam Morrible. And she brought the animals back to Oz. 

Hopefully, with her help, the people of Oz can become better. And perhaps, one day, even I can emerge from my self-imposed exile. For now, though, Glinda has to think I'm dead. But perhaps one day....

All I know is that I have truly been changed for good.
