BIOGRAPHY.

Hello everyone. I’m Elizabeth Gold, daughter of Rumpelstilskin and Belle. First of all, my father is not as bad as you think he is. He’s actually a kind man once you get to know him. Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, I’ll tell you something about myself. I was born just before the curse. My parents got together. The story was different than it is in Henry’s book. My mom came back before Regina could get to her. It was when she left another time that Regina caught her. That’s how she got separated from Dad and I. But I’m getting ahead of myself. Back to when I was born. So…I was born a little before the curse. My parents were happy with me. Though, from what my dad says, I was quite a rambunctious baby. I kept them up all hours of the night. But they didn’t mind. They both loved me to pieces. Though mom wasn’t happy that I inherited Dad’s powers. *

*Elizabeth didn’t actually inherit Rumpel’s powers…she just thinks she did.  Rumpel actually did a spell on her before she was born to ensure that some of his powers would pass to her—without the burden of being the Dark One. However, Elizabeth doesn’t know about this fact. And what Rumpel doesn’t know is that this spell comes with a price…a horrible price.

Dad  put a spell on me that ensured that I wouldn’t be frozen in time during the curse but I wouldn’t grow as quickly as I should,either. Technically, I should be 28. (Or maybe 29.) But I’m not. I’m only 25.  Dad did this after mom left so that I would grow up but not too much. He didn’t want to lose me too, I guess. But he also didn’t want to take care of a baby for however long the curse lasted. I don’t blame him. I wouldn’t have wanted to either. Especially if that baby was as annoying as I was. But he loved me anyway, of course.

So, that’s the beginning of my story. Then mom went out one day on an errand and…well, Regina happened. The rest you probably know. Then the curse happened and Dad and I moved to Storybrooke.

As a child, I didn’t really fit in. Partly because I was Mr. Gold’s daughter and partly because I was always being too curious for my own good. But I had a good amount of friends and I was happy. I spent most of my time as a kid, and even as a teenager either : spending time with Dad, spending time with my friends, walking around town or through the forest, or checking on the other residents of Storybrooke. (It’s gotta be hard to be cursed.) Though most people would call me ‘checking on people’ snooping. 

Once the curse broke, I was so happy. I met my mother for the first time. And she’s amazing. Even better than I always imagined she would be. She, Dad, and I are finally reunited and can be a family. My life hasn’t been perfect since then, but I’m handling it. As long as I have my family and friends, I’ll be happy.
