BIOGRAPHY.

☆ Violet Davis was born to two loving parents. The first 15 years of her life were normal and happy. She was a theater kid, a lover of the stars, a total nerd with plenty of friends in her artsy school. Everything changed a week before her 16th birthday. Sweet 16 wasn’t so sweet after all.

You see, Violet’s father had a past. He was born a spoiled rich kid and got in with the wrong crowd and did some not so legal things. He got sentenced to some time in prison that was reduced because he told on some of the people who had done crimes with him, that hadn’t been caught. He had decided to do so out of love. Love for V’s mother who he had met through a prison reading program.

The two fell in love and eventually got married and had Violet, named after her mother’s favorite flower and given a middle name after her father’s mother (Lynn). Yet Violet’s father’s past didn’t stay away forever. Eventually those who he told on got out of prison and came after him. They killed his wife while he and his daughter watched. They kidnapped him and his daughter, tortured him until he died. Forced Violet to help them with their illegal businesses. She didn’t want to but she did so because she was scared. Scared that they’d hurt her remaining family and her friends from school.

No longer feeling as if she deserved the name her parents gave her, she took to calling herself simply ‘V.’ She continued on like this, doing what her kidnappers told her and trying her best to avoid detection. Why didn’t she go to the police, you may ask? Well, she tried. But it turns out her kidnappers were well connected and even had some police officers on their side. If she tried, they’d simply alert their connections and she’d be the one in trouble.

On her 18th birthday, she got lucky. Her kidnappers were careless, left a door open. She quickly took all the money she could find and ran. She got on a bus to Florida, where she had family. She stayed with them for a while, but didn’t want to draw her kidnappers and the danger they brought to them. So eventually she raised enough money with help from her family to get a plane ticket to England.

That’s where she is now, working with the English police and their connections in New York to catch her kidnappers. She also answers the phones and works the front desk for them as well as works as an advice columnist. That’s her life and overall V can’t complain. At least her kidnappers aren’t around. And hopefully, they won’t come back into her life. She doesn’t know what she would do if they did. But she likes to think she’d take them down.
