BIOGRAPHY.

☆ Erika was born on a lovely spring day to Alicia Johnston-Aoki and Kentarou “Ken” Johnston-Aoki. Her parents were happy to welcome their daughter and absolutely doted on her, as much as their busy schedules allowed. Erika’s mother is a lawyer at Johnston, Smith, and Brown, while her father is the founder and CEO of Aoki Publishing. When they got married, they decided to hyphenate their last names, but kept it the same in their professional lives.

Erika was quite a normal girl until the age of 13 when she sprouted a tail while swimming in the ocean. Yes, it turns out she’s a mermaid. It runs in her mother’s side of the family. As for her father, he’s just a normal guy but he accepts his wife and daughter’s abilities. Erika’s abilities include manipulating water, freezing it, and turning it into a glass-like substance. It took some time, but with help from her mother and grandmother, she got control over her powers. Now, she has a pretty good handle on them, most of the time.

Erika is currently a college student majoring in English and hopes to follow in her father’s footsteps in the publishing world. However, she doesn’t want to take over the family business. At least, not now. She wants to make her own mark on the world. Maybe start her own company down the line, but for now, she’ll work for others

In her spare time, she loves being creative: writing, painting, acting, you name it. Sure her acting is a bit over the top and most of her paintings look like blobs, but she doesn’t let that stop her. She believes in living life to the fullest, so why should she let a lack of talent in certain areas ruin her fun?
