☆   Born to an Indian mother and a Scottish father, with a name meaning “unique, matchless”, Advika was bound to be special from the start. She always had a love for music, a love her parents cultivated since she was young.

In college, she majored in music business, but also started a band with some friends. The band didn’t last long, too many creative differences. But through it she discovered her love for singing and songwriting. Luckily, her parents supported her. She dropped the business major and majored in Music with a minor in Creative Writing.

She also started a YouTube channel with covers and original songs, to get her music out there. She gained thousands of followers, and is known for her haunting vocals and unique, poetic lyrics.

Upon graduation, she was picked up by a record company and released her first album, called “A”. To this day, she insists it’s not just after her first name, but her mother Amaja and her father Archibald, since they all have A names. Her parents aren’t entirely convinced, but they are proud of their daughter’s musical pursuits.

Advika also has a secret. She, since she was a child, can see spirits and also detect when someone is immortal. She doesn’t know how exactly, and she doesn’t tell her parents or anyone really. Though sometimes, she is seen talking to seemingly no one when she’s alone. Really, she’s talking to a spirit that others can’t see.

But of course, probably if she did tell someone they wouldn’t believe her. And all artists are a bit eccentric, right? She can just blame it on being high or something. Either way, she’s here. And she’s here to stay. Watch out world, Advika is coming. And she’s got a rather successful career as a singer now.
